As always The Malton went beyond fulfilling my expectations.

Our room on the forth floor was very comfortable offering a fantastic view of the mountains.

The food both at breakfast and in the bar was excellent and great service too.

Even though it was a bank holiday weekend and the hotel was busy it never felt full and there was always plenty of room to be found in either the comfortable reading room or the Punch Bowl Bar with it's roaring fires.

Of course, no trip to the Malton would be complete without a chat and joke with Mary (the lady from the tv). Mary was very helpful in getting us dinner reservations in a busy restaurant outside of the hotel on a busy bank holiday sunday. As my mother, another regular visitor to the hotel says "she is the hotel's best asset".

Looking forward to my next visit to the Malton. Thanks once again to Mary and Conor for making our weekend so enjoyable.

Had a wonderful experience in the Malton Hotel,Killarney. The suite was beautiful and the bed was huge, we could have fit four into it!! The staff were very attentive and the food was always lovely and presented very well.

Room Tip: Try the suite, it's worth the extra few euros. Loads of space and the bathroon is massive.

We recently stayed at the malton and I can't wait to go back.
We stayed in the older part of the hotel and the room was lovely (a bit worn in places but it didn't take away from it) bed wasn't the comfiest I've ever stayed in.
The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We ate in the main restaurant the first night and the experience was lovely although my main course and desert weren't great. I had the chicken for mains and it was very dry and the chocolate mousse for desert but it was disappointing. We ate from the bar menu the next 2 nights and the food was amazing and the service just as good as in the restaurant.
The only gripe I have is that the pool was extremely cold and it was quite a cold trek down to it too. We travelled with our baby who swims regularly and the pool was far too cold for her
There was a lady who works there called Mary-the Malton needs more like Mary, she's a gem so friendly and helpful.
The location of this hotel is excellent. There's a lovely ambience in the bar with the fires lit, a great place to chill out.
We visited muckross house, torc waterfall and gap of dunloe - fantastic scenery a must see. If you walk from muckross to torc waterfall you can get a horse and cart back for only €15 - nice experience (not a must though!)

Spent the Bank Holiday weekend in the Malton. It was our second visit to the hotel and it was just as enjoyable as before. We had a lovely room, overlooking the gardens and with the mountains in the distance. We travelled down by train and it's so convenient - the hotel and town centre are all just a minutes walk away. The food was great - we had lunch in the bar on the three days we were there and loved that they do a cooked to order breakfast, that's hard to find in most hotels now. The stand out point for us are the staff. From Reception to passing staff on the stairs everyone smiles and says hello. A special mention for Mary and Laurence - they are a credit to the hotel.

We have just come back from a stay in The Malton Killarney and what a wonderful place to stay for a break. The hotel foyer has a real olde world feel to it and here also lies its only draw back. The smell of wet turf or maybe it came from a blocked chimney was very strong, this could be for our over seas visitors but to me it was too strong and was the hotels only fault. Our deluxe room was fabulous, very spacious and had all the comforts we were looking for. The leisure facility is very nice, a compact but very good gym and the pool and sauna, jacuzzi was lovely. But the hotels greatest asset is the food, breakfast was great. Anything you could possibly want was on the menu and it really set us up for each day. We had 2 lovely baby-sitters over two nights and this allowed us to go to the restaurant for two amazing meals. The service is very good, the food itself as good as we have eaten anywhere in the world. The staff are lovely and added to a brilliant 4 day stay. We will be back !!!!

Room Tip: The Deluxe room are very big and spacious , even with a babies cot.

I recently spent three days at the Malton Hotel. I really enjoyed the hotel atmosphere and the staff were courteous and helpful. The room was lovely with a beautiful view and the breakfast each morning was superb. I dined in the restaurant on Saturday night and the food was very good as was the service, the price not too bad either.
I look forward to returning.
