This was our first experience with a B & B, and Bridie set the bar very high for our subsequent B & B accommodations. The location of this Bed and Breakfast was perfect. It is a very short walk from shopping and dining in downtown Killarney - yet it is in a very quiet area. Also, it is right by Killarney National Park. The house and room were very clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was great (important, because we were hiking - this was our first and last stop), and the food was absolutely delicious. Bridie is very kind and knowledgeable. She knows the area really well and was patient, she was readily available to answer our questions and more than willing to help with what we needed (we had several questions when we got there). Just one warning, the internet connection was a bit sketchy, but that was the case in most of the places we stayed, so I don't think that reflects on the B & B. Overall, this is an excellent B & B, I would love to stay again some day. We had a wonderful time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Muckross Drive House. The location is perfect. It is very a close walk to downtown Killarney and a block from the magnificent Kilarney National Park. Our room was large with huge closets. The B&B is on a quiet street so it was easy to get a good nights sleep. The host, Bridie, was wonderful. In addition to a great breakfast, she gave us lots of ideas of what to do in the area. We loved staying here.

Room Tip: The biggest room is in the front of the B&B.

We were greeted by the hostess's daughter and shown a clean and comfortable room. Bathroom was spacious with large shower, but the water pressure was not good. It was just a short walk into the centre of Killarney. Our charming hostess served us a tasty breakfast in a bright dining room. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

We spent a week in Killarney using Muckross Drive House as our base for daily cycling trips to Dingle, Gap of Dunloe, Ring of Kerry etc. We could not have made a better choice. We were immediately made welcome by Bridie and given a perfect room overlooking the mountains. The road was very quiet while being close to the town centre. She weclomed us back each evening and gave us a hearty breakfast before leaving each morning. She also arranged perfect packed-lunches. The room was spotless and spacious. There was secure storage at the rear for our bicycles. If I go to Killarney again I will stay here and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

I stayed here with my friend as we were down visiting some friends. The house is just minutes from the train station and the centre of town. And just off a main road so the area is quiet at night. Bridie, the proprieter was very helpful and friendly. The accommodation was good, clean and comfortable. My friend and I have said that the next time we are visiting our friends that we will look to book here again.

We cycled into the Muckross on the last day of our cycle trip through Kerry; they have a nice shed in the back for bikes. It is a short two block walk into the centre of Killarney. The breakfast room is nicely set for tea during the day, and we had a nice visit with a local elderly dog while relaxing in it during the evening :). Or room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was stupendous, as our hosts offered up some pancakes to break up our long string of Irish breakfasts of the past week. Wonderful spot, and wonderful hosts, great for the budget, and highly recommended.

I found this guesthouse from the internet, but booked directly.
Bridie was very pleasant upon our arrival after our climb up Carrantuohill. The rooms were very spacious, very clean and all with en suite. Each of our rooms had a double and a single bed, and the breakfast was very nice.
The location was about 5 minutes walk from the delightful town of Killaney, which is very nice indeed.
Overall, a very nice base to explore the spectacular surrounding area. Great.
