When I wasn Kiilarney7 in May 2013 I stayed, for the first time, at a B&B called Applecroft House. I was overwhelmed by coziness of this location,it is off the road aways. My room was wonderfully decorated and very comfortable. The rooms all have their own washroom. Karhy is the most gracious host and cook you could ever ask for. I highly recondmend this location for anyone staying in Killarney.

My husband and I spent four nights at Applecroft House with Kathy and Donal in May 2013, and we felt like we were home! We've stayed at this lovely, comfortable B&B on three separate trips to Ireland, and as always we were made to feel right at home by Kathy when we arrived, cold and wet, rather late in the evening.. About 10 minutes after settling into our spacious, clean, comfortable room, Kathy knocked on the door and brought a cozy hot water bottle to put in our bed to dispel the chill in our bones! This is an example of the personal attention and hospitality one can expect from her. The large rooms have everything you need, including many extra amenities, large modern bathroom, and the best shower you will find in Ireland! Her beautiful, sunny dining room is the perfect setting to begin your day with the best homemade scones, breads, cookies, and fresh eggs, along with her special chocolate chip bread french toast. It was difficult to decide which of her superb breakfasts to choose from each morning. Kathy's hand-drawn map and helpful suggestions and directions provide you all you need to enjoy Killarney and surrounding attractions. I left there with some of her wonderful recipes and the feeling that we were saying goodbye to some very good friends! We will definitely stay at Applecroft House again on our next trip, and we would very highly recommend this B&B to anyone who is looking for a "home away from home" located in a nice neighborhood, close to town, with the nicest, most gracious folks you could imagine as your hosts! You won't find a better B&B in Ireland!

Room Tip: All of the rooms have their own decorative theme and are clean, spacious and comfortable.

One of our favorites of the trip! Great breakfast with lots of options...even a special of the day! Very comfy beds, large room. Kathy was helpful with restaurant recommendations and provided some menus for us to check out. We would definitely stay again.

This was by far the best B&B that we stayed in during our 10-day vacation throughout Ireland! It is well worth the short and affordable drive into town (taxis are easily available). Kathy was very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The rooms were quiet and spacious with comfortable beds and nice private bathrooms. The breakfast was delicious and included eggs from their own hens and home baked cookies and scones. Don't miss this hidden gem!!!!
