This a family run and friendly B & B - far above average. The rooms are spotless as is the bathroom. There is tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast is great. It's about 5/10 min walk to the main street with shopping and many restaurants.

My husband, daughter, son-in-law, two grandaughters and I stayed at the Kingfisher for 2 nights of a 10-day Ireland tour. The Kingfisher was the perfect location, with an easy walk to restaurants and the laundry! Donel was fantastic in recommending restaurants as well as an alternative to our overly ambitious touring plan. Rooms were very clean. If you have special breakfast requirements in terms of time, you may want to let them know in advance.

Nice homey B&B within an easy walk to downtown Killarney. The host was very nice and helped us find a nice walk at Killarney National Park. The room was a good size, although they asked you to open the bathroom door after a shower. Breakfast was good, choice of one custom item and a good selection of standard Irish breakfast fare (cereals, yogurt, stewed fruit, etc). Our GPS put us in the wrong spot (it's right on a main road at a roundabout) but it was our first day driving in Ireland. Sweet dogs!

My partner and I travelled through the southern part of Ireland and stayed at the Kingfisher Lodge for one night. We were warmly welcomed by Donel and took advantage of his extensive knowledge of the surroundings (including Ring of Kerry). Room was tidy and quiet, despite the road next to the house.

The next morning Donel even went through all the trouble to serve us an amazing full on early-bird breakfast :)
Definitely recommend to stay there as it is in very close proximity of city centre and good pubs.

Cheers!

The Kingfisher is a larger B&B about 10 rooms. The rooms are very clean and crisp, the grounds well kept. The B&B is just far enough from the downtown night life (on Saturdays) to assure that it is quiet. The breakfast was very nice. The dogs were friendly and well mannered, they do not enter the B&B quarters. Proprietors were very free with advice on the surroundings. We really enjoyed our visit to Kilarney, we stayed two nights, but I beleive our stay could have been lengthened and delightful (I know another group was attempting to also lengthen their stay). The town is HOPPING on a Saturday night we saw atleast 6 HEN parties in one night (equivalent to US bachelorette parties). It definitely is the place to have fun and party for the region! This adds to flavor! We saw quite a few musical groups performing in the pubs. Lots of fun.

Wonderful stay! I was visiting my son in Killarney and B&B owners were very accomodating to my fluid schedule. Great breakfast, and wonderful personalized service. It was a fantastic break for me, as I am usually the one providing this level of service. Thanks again!

We stayed at the Kingfisher Lodge for two nights. The location is just a short walk to pubs and shopping. The room is very clean with ample space to store your clothes. Anne and Donel were very helpful with suggestions of sites to visit in the area.
