“Great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 12, 2013

Great location in town. Good for nights out & no taxis needed! Easy access to all main roads -quick to get out of town to all the main touring areas of this beautiful area. Pleasant staff who were very helpful. Breakfast is part buffet/part waiter service with excellent variety of food to suit all needs.

Room Tip: If offered an upgrade to a room with a spa bath, take it . They are great value. Guests should not b...

Stayed for two nights at the Fairview Guesthouse and we couldn't fault it. We took a room upgrade and we were so glad we did. Appreciated the lift to get our bags up to our room - quite often we had had to struggle with cases up stairs. Breakfast was delicious - recommend the pancakes. Parking free overnight just a short walk away. Was definitely a highlight of our accommodation in Ireland.

The actual Fairview Hotel is nice however if you make reservation for the Townhouse you might be a bit surprised. If you are 3 persons please avoid room 4, it is just too small, especially for a well build man, the bathroom is big enough for a small person. Breakfast is very nice, however you can have a wait (10 to 15 min) until you are seated. Keep this in mind if you need to catch a tour. It is really in the heart of the city and the location is very nice, but the service is just ok, after asking once for 3 sets of towels we needed to ask again the next night even though there were three beds in our very small bedroom. Otherwise a fine place, make sure you pay at the car park your daily rate at the left box it is then only 3 Euros, otherwise you will spend way more

Room Tip: As stated do not take room 4 for 3 people at the Copper Kettle

Central, really clean and shiney!, reasonably priced, staff really nice and helpful, lovely breakfast, plenty of choice, and a lovely man serving. Lovely lounge area to chill out in, rooms big enough, there is a car park a minutes walk away, will definatly stay here again and will recommend it to anyone staying in Killarney

We recently returned from our lovely trip to Ireland. This is a very welcoming little hotel/bed and breakfast. It is located very close to all the shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. I would suggest if you stay here to request a room on the 2nd floor. My room was there but my sister's room was on the 1st floor. She was near an alleyway that adjoined a neighboring pub to perhaps the street. She had quite a bit of noise down there but we heard nothing on the 2nd level. We would absolutely stay here again. We stayed at 5 different hotels on our trip and this was one of the top hotels we stayed in.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 2nd floor did not get the street noise.

I stayed at the Fairview late march and it was good! When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely women at reception. The hotel was very glam and pretty! everything was up to scratch! Our room was nicely laid out with a nice view out over Killarney town.A jacuzzi in the bathroom was an extra treat.!
My only problem was the room was very hot even with the radiators turned off. It wasn't ideal to open the window with the noise from the street as it is situated in the centre of the town. Another problem was the floorboards creeked a lot.
We ordered breakfast in bed the following morning and ticked the 9:15 arrival. When it hadn't arrived i rang down and asked and received a smart answer like "Ya, it's on it's way", and it didn't arrive for another 10 minutes!
The breakfast was glorious with a paper to read.
Free wi-fi in the room was a must and i would recommend this place to anyone looking for a treat in the town.
Unfortunately there was no swimming pool in this hotel.

Room Tip: The suites are most beautfiul
