Being the wet, windy day it was meant we pretty much had the boat to ourselves. It was no problem to bring on board our bottles of bubbly and all things hen party. The boat driver accommodated us with a table for the drinks and nibbles no problem. For any of you concerned about your sea legs even on the windy day it was there were no complaints from any of the group. Thanks to the boat and the staff at Scott's hotel for looking after all the queries.

i staying in Killarney and took this lake tour, i would recommend this tour to anyone who travels to Killarney, a huge boat, loads of seating, heated, the day we went on this tour we had four fab musicians playing trad music, we had a choice of hot chocolate, tea, coffee, the tour guide was very informative and stopped up the boat for us to take photographs, the staff on board were so friendly and helpful.

This rating is only for the 1hour boat tour that leaves from Ross Castle. What a rip off and total waste of Euro 25 for a family of four. There is so much more to do in this park that we hope will prove more interesting, but this was a sore disappointment. The guide hardly spoke the entire hour long ride, which became a bit torturous at the end as there is NOTHING to do or see after the first few minutes. The driver did not endeavor to give history, stories, jokes, nothing. He even barked at our young children to go sit in the back (lest the make too much noise that he could not hear his radio show) How disappointing and what a shame for the Irish Tourist industry, I think these people have had it too good for too long. Even the receptionist at Ross Castle was short...I think its a case of people being paid too little for dealing with a demanding public. I am still looking for someone to show me that Irish charm, but 5 days into our vacation I am thinking that it no longer exists, I mean if you can't find it in one of the most popular tourist destinations in Ireland, where can you?
