My sister, goddaughter and I had such a wonderful time on our two-day tour with Gerard. We had never been to Ireland, so when Gerard asked where we would like to go and what we would like to see, we didn't really know what to tell him. I think our response was "we want to see the countryside and we like learning about history". To an average tour guide this information would have probably gotten us a very mediocre tour, but with Gerard's knowledge and expertise we got the trip of a lifetime. He made sure that we got to see all the typical highlights, but then he took us on all the back roads and we ended up in these fabulous areas where you definitely won't see a tour bus (which in our mind is very good). It was like a backstage pass to the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. Our trip was so wonderful we are trying to figure out when we can go again, and when we do, we will definitely be contacting Gerard again. If you are lucky enough to book a tour with Gerard be sure to ask him about "The Great Book of Kerry", it's simply fascinating.
