Went in yesterday for lunch at 2.15 with two friends. Some prices were missing from menu and when we asked the waitress she had to check she also had to check the special. Gave our order, two sandwiches and a crostini and drinks. Drinks arrived and we waited and waited for the food, it eventually came after 40 minutes, out drinks were finished at this stage. We then ordered one chocolate cake and one coffee again we waited. After asking for the cake to be heated it wasn't sent back and came back tepid about 10 mins later. We are local people and definitely said we wouldn't come here for lunch while working as you would not have time. The food was great but the service was dreadful. We noticed that the waitresses did not seem to know what they were doing. This is my 4th time at this restaurant since it opened and the service has been very poor every time.

If you're in Killarney and getting tired of walking around, stop off for a lunch here. The service is impeccable, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxed and good natured. Really the best place for a light lunch in the town. I went with my family and not only the restaurant food, but the deli offerings were delicious. And there is a cookery school too, if you have time!

Went here today with some friends after hearing about the food on offer in the restaurant , not realising there was also a deli and a shop , and also a cookery school

The food was fab , i started with charcuterie board to share and then had the seatrout for mains , I had no room for dessert but had really good coffee , service was good

On leaving we browsed through the shop which has the most amazing selection of locally baked breads and cakes and a huge selection of local produce , including a huge selection of local cheeses , jams and chutneys
Great to see support for the local producers , not expensive , but not cheap either , but you expect to pay a little extra for quality you would not find in the supermarkets
We enquired about the cookery-school which runs more in wintertime but there are a few courses running over the summer
This place is all about food and we will defiantly return soon

After having a fabulous meal on my first visit I was utterly disgusted on my return. The fish cakes and salads were completely bland! The chowder was basically cream and potato. But the icing on the cake was a snail in the salad, when the manager finally came over she said it was a mix up and the dinner salad was used instead which has tapenade in it. I said it was crunchy, she said it was rock salt! Also they have a 200 euro salad spinner so that wasn't possible. Tapenade would make the salad soggy and they weren't even open for dinner that night. I certainly don't appreciate being treated like an idiot. Overall experience was horrific.
