We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was amazing. The service is excellent, the rooms are spacious, and the BATHROOMS are great! There was free wi-fi and a flat screen tv in the room. Location is also very central, so easy walking distance everywhere. Highly, highly recommended!!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel itself is in the heart of Killarney. Beautiful reception area, lovely spacious rooms, fabulous spa - there's very little I can fault with this place. I was travelling with a group of 10 family members for a bit of a reunion and the use of the spa which was wonderful. They could probably have done with one or two more members of staff in the spa as it took about 10 minutes before I was checked in for my treatment but other than that they couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. The parking is free but is quite narrow to get into. It wasn't well signposted to get in to either.
In terms of the hotel itself, there were a lot of children running around which could be a little annoying and disturbed the general peace and tranquility of the hotel. The service at dinner was quite slow which I was disappointed in. One of our group had to ask repeatedly for water - there just didn't seem to be enough staff present at any given time. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic - a real feast!
Other than these small issues, I can honestly say I will go back to this hotel. The town itself it wonderful, the rooms were lovely and I genuinely enjoyed my stay.

The Molton Brown Spa was fabulous, I had a lovely facial but book well ahead as they were fully booked for the whole weekend. Dinner was lovely in the Restaurant. Lunch in Bar was also nice. Breakfast was lovely both mornings with a really nice man behind the buffet who offered you fresh everything! Molton Brown products are a nice touch in the rooms. Really comfy beds. Overall we were thrilled with our stay. €139 for two nights b&b plus an evening meal we found to be excellent value. I will definitely return! Also its a fantastic location in Killarney right in the town centre. Only downside was the badly designed car park, but this was minor! Book it!

We stayed here recently and it was a special occasion for us. We stayed here before and we were definitely a lot more impressed then. First of all be aware of the car park, very tight with some sort of vent system on the wall which can easily damage your car if you reverse into a space and you are not aware of it, from what we could see there was nothing warning you of this. Check in was efficient for us at 3.30 but the couple checking in before us were told their room was not ready.

I have to say our room was one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in with a lovely view of the mountains. Room facilities were very good, water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, robe, slippers and molton brown products in the bathroom and a huge bed. We did not want to leave, it was really lovely.

We met a couple of the housekeeping staff on the corridor, they were really friendly. There is a lovely atmosphere around this hotel and the location is fantastic, right in the town centre but very quiet.

When we checked in we wanted to book dinner in the dining room as we had a dinner package, they only had very limited times left. I feel we should have been warned about this when booking the hotel as it obviously books up fast. We had on a previous occasion had dinner in this hotel and it was really nice and quiet and relaxed but when we arrived to dinner there were 2 hen nights and one birthday party and it was really loud, we were not expecting this at all. It was a completely different dining experience. I thought the starter and dessert was lovely but the main course was only ok, steak was not the best, my husband felt the food was only ok but did not enjoy the steak either. We had ordered wine with our meal which was not included in our package so as we started eating our dessert the waitress approached our table and asked could we settle up the bill, I said now and she said yes. I thought this was very unprofessional as we had just began eating…

Breakfast is a buffet, cooked breakfast wasn’t very appealing so we didn’t have any but there was a good variety if you don’t want a cooked breakfast, i.e various cereals, scones, croissants, fruit, juices, cheeses etc. There was a long queue for the cooked breakfasts, we only wanted tea and toast and when we said this to the waitress, she said we had to queue for toast. During breakfast we saw a chair pushed up against a fire exit to block it, we felt it was very dangerous to block a fire exit with such a large group of people in a room.

On this occasion we did not avail of the spa/leisure facilities but from past experiences the spa is well worth a visit, it was fantastic.

Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for comfort, convenience and relaxation but would not recommend the food on this occasion. There are a lot of lovely restaurants in Killarney.

A good situarion in the centre of Killarney. The hotel lobby is all marble and mosaic with vases of lillies and huge easy chairs and coffee tables which gives a sense of opulence and luxury. The hotel staff were all polite, helpful but with a sense of humour which is so often lacking in hotel staff.
The breakfasts were good quality with an excellent range of choices, served in a lovely restaurant area. The evening meal we had was also well cooked and presented in a comfortable environment.
Our room was very comfortable and clean with unusually good quality furnishing.
The leisure centre had a well equiped gymnasium although the pool is rather small. we were surprised that we had to wear barhing caps for the pool which meant purchasing them at the cost of 2.50 Euros each. The closing time of 7pm for the leisure centre also seemed too early.
Having expected free parking on site, we ended up paying for daytime parking at Killarney station at a cost of 5 Euros per day due to the fact that the barrier for the underground facility was too low to accommadate our bike rack and bicycles. Overnight parking was not a problem in the public car park at the back of the hotel.

Just returned from 4 night stay in the Killarney Plaza. We loved everything about the hotel - the staff (all very good) ; the location (right in the centre of things); the room (all mod cons including trouser press, iron, tea/coffee facilities, complementary water, bathrobes and lovely toiletries), the excellent food (both in the formal diningroom and the less formal Cafe du Parc); the bar (for those who want to watch sports) and the leisure centre (gym, small pool, good sauna, steam room and really hot jacuzzi) . The staff were great and we got a good deal price-wise. The hotel was full so we had to park in the public carpark one night - but it was no big deal. If you have a big car or SUV, you will find the carparking difficult. But we had no problems. Only one small negative: the singer in the Piano Bar at night made no effort to relate to the audience - so we went to a good musical pub near the hotel for entertainment. Killarney is a great spot and we will definitely return to the Killarney Plaza Hotel and recommend it to others as well.
