“Wonderful place to stay! Perfect 1st B&B experience!”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

This was my husband and I's first stay at a B&B and we couldnt have been more pleased. Norrie was a wonderful host and made us feel welcome right away. She recommended the Danny Mann pub for supper which was right around the corner, where they had wonderful food and an extremely entertaining band! We were treated to breakfast by Norrie in her sunroom where we ate a delicious breakfast and watched the rabbits hop around the backyard. I would def recommend staying here and we will def be back if we are in the area!

Very nice 2 night stay in a clean and roomy establishment. Wonderful hostess with a nice breakfast. Comfy bed. Close to town and the National park. Although you need a car to get to either. Great place to explore this beautiful area. Would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at Alderhaven for two nights and it was a wonderful hidden spot that is very close to downtown Kilarney. Noreen is a sweet lady and certainly made us feel welcome. Many of the B&B's in Ireland are literally on top of each other or the house next door and this is a very secluded location. We were there at the end of October but you could tell her gardens would be beautiful during the summer. We'd definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: We had a room on the front that overlooked the drive. Wonderful windows so lots of light - even on...

Two couples stayed one night, but wish it could have been longer. The host were very warm and helpful. Location is close to downtown Killarney.
You need to be a good map and sign reader as it is somewhat hidden and can be difficult to find the first time. Our host recommended a nice place for dinner and this allowed us to explore Killarney. Her breakfast was excellent- cooked to order and served in a nice setting overlooking the garden.
Upon advice from our host we did a partial drive tour of the Ring of Carey ( cloudy/overcast) and tried to go to the Muckross House but as it was a bank holiday and Muckross did not plan well the tours were full.
Alderhaven is very nice but shower/bath room in our room was tiny.

Room Tip: We had a room with a double and a twin. The room is reasonable sized but with two beds was tight for...

My sister and I stayed at Alderhaven in May and Norrie was absolutely wonderful to us. She gave us great advice about things to do and places to see and made us feel so at home. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. We would definitely stay here again and hope to in the future. We stayed in multiple bed and breakfasts and this was our favorite by far.

We had a wonderful stay at the Alderhaven Country Home! Norrie and Pat O'Neill were gracious hosts and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. The room was spotless, the breakfast delicious, and they made our stay in the Killarney area a memorable one! We would highly recommend this B & B to everyone and hope that if we ever get back to Ireland, we can stay here again.

That is how we felt when we met Norrie at the door! Very quaint rooms with private bath. Very clean and comfortable. Norrie gave us good leads on restaurants and attractions. Delicious breakfast in a cozy sunroom. We would definitely return for another stay...thank you!
