Unwelcoming and very slow service. Overpriced food that was tasteless and of poor quality. Customers were made to feel that they were a nuisance on a busy night. Would not return here again.

The service was unwelcoming, which is so odd for Indian restaurants anywhere. The price was high and the food only average. We would not recommend.

As a local, we've been enjoying Bombay Palace, seen different owners over the years, and were overall very happy to return time and again. Yes, the odd occasion the food wasn't top perfect, but hey you can forgive if you know it's gonna be great again next time. However, there was never really any competition for the place, but now there's a new kid in town, and they are certainly putting it up to them! So sharpen up, you've got a great place, and some loyal customers if you deliver the goods! :)

I recognize that there are challenges to running a restaurant in a tourist town, but there are ways to distinguish oneself from the crowd. Great food or spectacular presentation are two ways, neither of which this restaurant achieved. First of all, and I know this sounds cheap, but I have never been in an Indian restaurant that charges you for plain, steamed white rice with your entrees. Not a beautiful, baked Indian rice or pilau, but just a few pennies worth of plain basmati covering a small plate. Give me a break, but you lost me with that cheap shot. The dishes we had, saag paneer and prawn dopiaza, were average. Indian food offers such an opportunity for layers of flavor, and both of these are dishes that I have been taught to make at home by folks who know the real thing. Both versions here were very overpriced and simultaneously disappointing in their parsimonious and lackluster presentation. They weren't bad, mind you, just uninspired and fantastically expensive for the portions presented. Maybe for Killarney this is mainstay, but for those of us who have a basis of comparison, Bombay Palace was more like Bombay McDonald's.
