Molly Darcy's is a nice place to stop at and a good meeting point. I had a meal on one evening of our stay at the muckross park. We were both unimpressed. The food was as you would expect in any bar but the quality did not match the price. Basically it's overpriced because of the location.

After a cold morning hike through Killarney National Park, this was the place to be for a delicious and warm stew, fish and chips as well as a can't go wrong cider and Guiness. Service was friendly and attentive. We sat with our two children ages 8 and 9 at a table with a small sofa and two chairs. It was so comfortable to be a in a relaxed setting with great tasting food and interesting pub decor. The bathrooms were great and the pub is connected to a gorgeous hotel.

We were casting about for a good place to eat that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg in Killarney after visiting the beautiful Killarney Nat'l Park and we found Molly Darcy's. The atmosphere was (almost) Irish Pub but the food was more along the lines of Applebee's. Actually, a bit better than Applebee's since that is the worst restaurant in the world. My wife had a tagliatella pasta that was too doughy and the chicken was fresh out of a can. I had fried cod and chips . The taste ofot mu the cod was fine but the texture was a little too soft and watery. The chips were okay. So a bit better than Applebee's but not by much. Reasonably priced but you can do much better.

After a long walk in the park we decided to have a late lunch at Molly Darcy's. The food and ambiance of the place is really wonderful with cosy window seats and real woodfires - though I'd personally loose the Big Screen TV, but that's just my opinion..Service was a bit disorganized, and hence slow.. on the upside, the food was really excellent, though, which is why I'm giving four stars. Great place for a relaxing afternoon.

This restaurant/pub is part of Muckross Park Hotel & Spa.
Inside is quite spacious with lots of room between the tables. So enough privacy for you. They offer lunch and dinner. I heard that dinner is finished at 20:00 PM.
It's closeby the city center but also closeby the entrance of the national park.
They have draft beer and a decent menu with items separately to order and a set menu with some choices per kind (entree, main, dessert). Price are affordable and the quality of the food was very good to my opinion.
