“The place for fish”
Reviewed May 14, 2014

If you love fresh fish, you must try Quinlans. They keep things simple, and do things well. We had a short wait, with two groups in front of us in line. We were there later in the evening, and they pointed out four or five things that they were out of. That was ok, there was plenty left to choose from. Looking around, it seemed that almost everyone had ordered fish and chips. I had to be different, and tried the prawns. My daughter had the one of the few types of batter-fried fish that were still available. This place is brightly-lit, busy and cheerful. Everyone was happily munching away on their fish. Almost everyone seemed to be a tourist, but Killarney is a tourist mecca, so that's to be expected. If you like the freshest fish, simply prepared, you will be very happy here.

“Lovely fish supper at Quinlans”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

Had Cod & Chips with mushy peas at Quinlans, OMG the fish was so fresh, the batter light and REAL chips and REAL mushy peas. A bit on the expensive side but it was delicious.

“crowded with locals and tourists”
Reviewed May 8, 2014

This was a delicious fish and chips place! There were locals going in and out the whole time getting food to go. The seating is limited so you may have to wait or get it to go if you can.

“Well worth a visit.”
Reviewed May 1, 2014

My girlfriend and I went for a meal in Quinlans recently on the recommendation of friend. We were lucky to get a table when we went in as shortly after our arrival a cue had formed outside. I can see now why people cue. I had the cod and my girlfriend had the calamari and both were delicious. Staff were excellent. Looking forward to a return visit the next time I am in town. : )
