“Needs a lot of work done”
Reviewed April 16, 2014 via mobile

My wife and myself just grabbed a toasted sandwich and a cup of tea over here which were just OK. But the place is not that clean, by our standards and needs a good make over. Not a place that one would return to.

“Best Place Ever”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

This was the dinner experience and the food was AMAZING. Both the owner and chef came out to meet us personally and the dishes they had created was way above excellence. I visited Country Kitchen in 2011, now over 2 years later I am yet to find a restaurant that comes anywhere close. Shane you rock! I hope to be back to visit sometime real soon.

“Excellent”

Really loved this place!
We where served by a lovely waitress who really seemed to love her job and had a word for everyone!
Also the food was scrumptious and very reasonable.
Cant wait to visit here again some time ;)

“Should have been better”
Reviewed August 23, 2013 via mobile

Visited this cafe as we wanted something a bit different to pubs. We were seated quickly by a lovely waitress who gave us a few minutes to look at the menu and then took our order. The cafe has a byo (bring your own) policy, with an off licence a few doors down. We opted for tea and soft drinks, which arrived quickly along with a jug of water.
Our starters arrived, we had chicken goujons and seafood chowder which were delicious. Then our waitress, who had been rushing around and working really hard went off shift and from here everything went downhill. More people arrived for dinner and the kitchen were plowing out starter after starter like they were on a conveyer belt, which left our main meals arriving 45 minutes after we had finished our starters. When the mains arrived the chips were lukewarm, the fish was chewy and the burger was as dry as an old leather boot. It all seemed chaotic, wouldn't have been so bad if it was a cheap meal but it wasn't.
This really has the potential to be a really quaint cafe, they just need to sort themselves out.

“5 star omelet”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Cozy ambiance, but the main reason to go is for the fabulous breakfast offerings. If you're looking for somewhere for breakfast other than the hotels, this is the place.
