Killarney Guided Cycle Tours provided me with a very enjoyable afternoon.
The one-to-one guided tour of the Killarney National Park, brought me on a route which included beautiful views of the Killarney Lakes, and short, informative stops at Ross Castle, Muckross Abbey, Muckross House grounds and Torc Waterfall.
The route is mostly away from traffic, and is not a difficult cycle. Jay Scully, who runs this new venture, has a wide knowledge and interest in the local history and flora and fauna. Because he has a deep love for cycling, he also shared a lot of bicycle knowledge and technique, which I found really useful. He is clearly an experienced instructor, not just in cycling but other outdoor pursuits too.
The 21 gear bicycle and cycle hat were included in the package, so all you have to bring is waterproofs, drinking water and a snack for yourself on this tour (mine lasted 3 and a half hours! but whole day trips are available too).

I regularly visit Killarney and it's various local attractions. But exploring them by bike gives a completely new perspective on the area. The leisurely pace gives you time to appreciate the scenery while allowing you to see most of Killarney's major attractions on the 3 hour tour. Something that couldn't be achieved if you walked.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable on the local fauna & flora and the many historical sites.

I highly recommend the tour for all visitors to Killarney
