There is so much to do in this park, that it'd be a pity to miss it if you're nearby. We spent many hours going on foot and by car from one area to the next. Entrance to the park itself is free. A few things inside cost. Ross Castle is a few Euros per person, and a very nice castle. Muckross House is very interesting and the grounds are just lovely. Looks like something from Downton Abbey. You can also go to the Torc Waterfall (free) and several other excellent viewpoints in this incredible national park. Bring your camera!

This is a large park which starts in the heart of Killarney and covers lakes and mountains. For those into walking and hiking, could not ask for anything better (and closer)

Beautiful, lovely, a touch of Ireland we definitely liked. We were approached by Sean, a carriage jockey and took the horse and buggy tour for E30. Not bad at all, and got to ask lots of questions. The park itself is lovely and both my daughter and I commented on how Shakespearen it felt to be there.

The trail up to the Waterfall was like something out of the movie 'Avatar'! Every few steps forward brought a new feast for the eyes. Worth the visit!
