Arrived after long drive & longer traffic jams to this gem. We just loved the decor,so fresh & vital and the smallest details attended to,another reviewer says 'blown away' & that describes our reaction too. Stayed in the suite, tempting us not to move out the door! Terrific location & as leisure facilities across the road were available to us,we checked these out and you can be assured of same high standard.
The food...well we're real foodies and actually did something we NEVER do,we ate there both nights! Delicious! I can still taste the chillie & mango(fresh) dressing that came with my lovely salmon!
Kerry hospitality at its best from all the staff. Your loss if you stay elsewhere!

We are just back from a brillant stay at The Ross. Phoned last minute for the busy august weekend and the receptionist could not have been more helpful in accommodating us. We got a great deal with drinks and an evening meal included. I love this hotel, its small, intimate with a great atmosphere. The both memebers of staff that we meet at reception were great, lovely welcome and very helpful when we were looking for ideas to spend the weekend. They even looked up various events that were on and phoned our room with the details, they really could not have done anymore for us. The bar & restaurant staff were extremely friendly and helpful, very nice relaxed atmosphere. Our room was lovely, super comfie bed and our lucky friends were treated to an upgrade to one of their lovely suites. I would definately stay here again, super hotel right in the middle of Killarney, I thought the staff were great, food was super and their cocktails are a great way to start any weekend break! One of the best hotels in Killarney without a doubt if your looking for something a little bit more personal, right in the middle of everything but nice and relaxing this is the place to stay.

Not a bad place all in all. beautiful decor through out finished to a high standard. rooms very impressive. check-in was poor the receptionist needs to learn some customer service skills. wasnt greeted with "welcome to the ross hotel" was greeted with "yes" had to ask for breakfast times and how to get the the rooms etc which i found dissapointing. there was an older lady receptionist who we came across later in our stay who was far more professional and customer focased. hotel staff should allways be ready to go the extra mile and unfortualtly i didnt feel this was the case

Funky hotel situated in the heart of Kilarney, just a light stroll from the restaurants, pubs, shops and amenities. Great ambience in the hotel, created by the cool décor, helpful local staff, popular bar and yummy restaurant! We ate in the Cellar One restaurant in the hotel, which was top class, highly recommended!!!

Great service at a reasonable price, which is hard to beat in these cost cutting times!

Try it out!

The Ross Hotel is trendy and hip but service and friendliness doesn't take a back seat. Traveled with my adult son, he enjoyed the great location, close to shopping, restaurants and pubs. The jaunting carts were directly in front of the hotel. We had a great view from our window yet the room was very quiet. The beds were very comfy, I loved the clean white sheets and duvet (I hate bedspreads!) and the tea service in the room. The front desk was very helpful when we asked for a recommendation for a good Indian restaurant. ( Sorry, I don't remember the name of the Indian restaurant but it was really good and only a few blocks away.)

Myself and husband stayed here for 2 nights to mark our first anniversary. Unbeknownst to me husband had asked to upgrade us to suite for the night of our anniversary. The hotel obliged and offered us the suite for both nights but only charged for one and normal room rate for other.
The staff here were all lovely, so polite and helpful. Their attention to detail was brillaint and were always willing to do tha bit extra for you.
The hotel is small with a bar up the back which transforms into a cocktail bar at the weekends. Probably one of the most popular in Killarney. Also a nice sitting area just outside from the bar where you can go if you fancy a quieter drink.
Absolutely beautiful restaurant downstairs. Also bang in the centre of Killarney so can walk everywhere.
Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Were both 30 but there were older people there too as well as young families so it really is suitable for everyone.
