Beautiful waterfall. If you are visiting Muckross House, signs shows that the waterfall is 2,5km away. You don't have to walk there. There is a parking really close to the waterfall.

Exceedingly beautiful landscape as you hike past the green foliage that Ireland is so well known for. I have to admit that I took Walk Number 1 which really didn't require a lot of effort to reach the waterfall. There is something incredibly serene about the short walk, surrounded in beautiful mossy trees and rocks.

It was a very manageable climb. Safe, well-marked and nothing technical. 1500ft / 500m summit that seems like a balcony overlooking the Killarney region. Since you can see Torc Mountain from most of Killarney, it's great to do this hike early in your stay so afterward you can point to the top of the mountain and say, "That's where we were!"

I completed a three hour hike to the peak of Torc Mountain. I must confess that toward the end of the climb my knees were a bit resentful but my brain and soul knew it was worth the physical challenge. The views of Killarney from the top of Torc Mountain was amazing and a must see.

The mountain walk is not for the faint hearted, there are many steps to climb but the sight of the waterfall made it worth it.
