“Beautiful Hike”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

We drove through the park while driving the Ring of Kerry. We stopped at the Torc Mountain walk and hiked a bit. Several small and one very large waterfall is only a short walk from the road. Any age can walk to the waterfall as it has a slow gradual incline. There is a river leading to it and several places along the way to stop and do family photos. Very scenic and beautiful. You can also keep hiking a choice of multiple distances but will need to be a bit in shape as the staircase/ path after the waterfall is bit steep and long. I wish we had more time to hike further as I am sure it was astoundingly beautiful. A must visit place if you are near Killarney

Worth the quick 5 minute walk to see the waterfall. Lovely moss covered rocks, lots of photo opportunities here.

“Beautiful Scenery, fun hike”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

We chose the easy 'yellow' trail. Beautiful scenery and so nice to get out and about walking after we had driven much of the day in the Ring of Kerry. Fantastic views and fascinating, diverse vegetation for kids to observe. I was really taken by the carpet of moss covering everything. Wear hiking boots or sneakers (highly recommend bringing these on the trip as they're also useful at sights along the Ring of Kerry where things can be slippery). Be sure to bring water and a snack. Restrooms available at the bottom though water in the sinks is not potable.

“Torc Falls with Children”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

We did the hike with four children (13 to 2 years old), choosing the "yellow" trail. Even the kids were impressed by the falls and all of the moss-covered trees and rocks. The falls are quite close to the car park, but we continued on up the hill. Despite the steady rain, the views from the top were impressive and worth the exertion. The sign by the car park estimated the walk for 35-40 minutes, but it took us over an hour on account of the kids, and somehow we ended up on the busy road for the last 200 meters. I highly recommend seeing the falls -- if you have just 30 minutes, it's worth stopping at the car park and heading up for a quick photo or two.

This is a most enjoyable attraction for those who enjoy exercise, spending time in the great outdoors and offers some wonderful views the higher you climb.
