“Children Enjoyed the Numbered Walk”
Reviewed December 25, 2011

Kids loved finding the numbers and then matching up the information. Only found out about this in recent years despite coming to Killarney for years.

“magical”
Reviewed August 14, 2011

walked mangerton yesterday and spotted the sign for the walk on the way
decided to go check it out today
it was absolutely magical with loads of quiet areas with hundreds of ferns swaying in the wind tall trees and absolute silence
the blue pool was spectacular with a ripple in the water giving a shimmy to the clear reflection of the surrounding trees in the clear waters
i loved it

“Gorgeous overlooked gem in Killarney National Park”
Reviewed July 26, 2008

This quaint nature reserve has several clearly-marked footpaths with plenty of unmarked runs that stray very little from the main path. It takes a bit of a walk to get to the back where the still water shines blue (at least it did in the early evening sun when we saw it.

It is a nice afternoon walk with minimal steep parts on the path my wife and I were on. I must admit, there could easily be an aire of magic about the entire walk, if one allowed his imagination to get away from himself.

There is also a part of the path for the blind, which I think is a nice addition.

Parking is frankly inadequate, but when we were there, there was only two cars. We walked from our lodging.
