This cathedral is a wonder of architecture... the towering spaces within cause you to raise your eyes in wonder and awe... a beautifully peaceful reverend space to worship and a lovely place to see...

St. Mary's is a beautiful cathedral. The stained glass windows are truly works of art. Don't miss the window that depicts Jesus holding a Celtic harp.

Only finished in 1914, the Cathedral is an imposing building. ' Pugin ' is supposed to have been involved in its design but there appears to be little left of his input. The plain rough stonework illuminated through stain glass gives an unusual effect and combined with the lack of internal decoration give both a sombre and spiritual effect. It is certainly not overloaded with monuments. Well worth a visit and located near a pleasant park.

If you like old church's and Cathedrals then it worth a visit, for quite a small town its a large building, free to go in.

Great old woodwork. Peaceful, not commercial. You are able to walk all around when not having services.
