I loved the historical feel that this hotel had. It reminded me of an English manor house. Our room was very spacious and clean. We had a little balcony with views of the mountains. The full breakfast was wonderful! The only negative thing was it was a little further from town than I thought it would be. It is at least a 10-15 minute walk. That was fine for us, but might be difficult for a family. We enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect base for exploring the area!

Nice hotel, clean and tidy. Did smell a bit old. Breakfast was fine. Staff friendly and helpful. Was booked in for 4 nights but only stayed 1 due to the fact it didn't have a restaurant for a evening meal and didn't have a bar. They did say they had wine or beer, but I don't drink either. They also told us we could bring our own into the hotel. But it isn't the same as sitting with others in a bar. Although we was told it was only a 10 min walk from town centre it was still too far out for us.

Room Tip: Don't book unless you don't mind not having a restaurant or bar.

- Superb spacious room with quality furniture/fitments, nice big bath and an excellent shower. - We had a suite, which was well worth the small amount extra.
- Enormous, comfortable bed. Quite firm, but good.
- Very quiet at night. Good heavy curtains that block out the morning light. Important for me as I get woken easily by the light.
- Lovely breakfast - massive choice of hot & cold items. Cooked to order and happy to substitute if you don't want the suggested combinations.
- Complementary tea & cakes in the afternoon
- Free parking in the hotel grounds.
- Ten minute walk from town centre. Near enough to be easily accessible but away from the noisy bustle.
- Extremely friendly, helpful & competent staff. Gave great advice and nothing was too much trouble.
- Definitely one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Thoroughly recommended.

Room Tip: We had the O'Connell Suite. Well worth the extra over a double/twin for the extra room size and...

Located near town but off a quiet side street (very helpful in a hotel with no air conditioning), this hotel was good for someone like me who was exploring the national park but not so good for those who wanted to get into town, as parking downtown is a extremely difficult in high season. This a nice enough establishment but I found it overly priced compared to other places I stayed during my month-long Ireland trip. I upgraded to a Deluxe King Room that was nowhere near as nice as photos led me to believe. The carpets in particular were tired and worn, and overall the room had a very dark feel to it (although the bathroom was lovely, large, and bright). The room was also extremely warm because only the small tops of the windows opened, so I was very uncomfortable. Good breakfasts, though, and generally helpful staff; Joan was an absolute delight, but the other receptionist was not particularly friendly or welcoming. Overall, a decent stay, but I will not be back.

We stayed here in June 2014 & it was by far my favorite of all the places we stayed. I was one in a group tour of 30 & were greeted by the owner upon arrival, were assigned out rooms and out again touring the lovely city in no time at all. The room were beautiful, clean & spacious. No dinner service, which was fine with us as we ventured into the city center to eat, ( a short walk).

Room Tip: No wifi in room, but accessable in downstairs sitting room. Could purchase it if you wanted it in yo...

We stayed here for the ring of Kerry Cycle in July 2014 and were met by the owner of the property at 5.20am with a smile and couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were excellent and spacious and very well maintained. Its walking distance to the main street for restaurants and shops.

Breakfast was freshly cooked.

We stayed for two nights in a Deluxe room at Earls Court House. It was an easy 10 minute walk into Killarney, and we didn't have to fight traffic and find a parking spot. The reception desk was very helpful in giving suggestions on where to eat and what to see in the area. The room was spacious, and located on the back of the hotel. One drawback was that the afternoon sun came in the window, and made it a little warm, so we had to open the door for a bit to let the air circulate. The decor was very nice, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and included a cold buffet along with a choice of cooked foods. This might sound weird, but I really enjoyed the porridge (oatmeal); it tasted like the oats were cooked in cream and not water. (Why would you eat oatmeal when there are other choices? Full Irish breakfasts are really filling.....) The bathroom had a shower and a tub; the water pressure was excellent. Between 3 and 5 every day, they offer pastries, coffee, and tea in the common room. You can order wine and snacks sent to your room during the day. There is a really good restaurant (Kayne's) right around the corner that's a 2 minute walk.
I will stay here again if I'm ever in Killarney.
