I would highly recommend this B&B. It had updated decor, clear rooms and a very excellent breakfast. It was minutes from downtown. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The price in May was very reasonable.

It is conveniently located within 10mins walk to center of town. Rooms are above average and clean. We had delicious hot breakfasts prepared by the owner. Woo from Singapore.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel and were very impressed with it. Would loved to have stayed there longer, but had to move on. The rooms were beautifully decorated and everything was new looking. The front area for the guests was very cozy and inviting. And of course the breakfast was delicious. Both Declan and Jim were very helpful. We don't recommend driving the Gap of Dunloe though! That was a little too scary. Overall
we had a wonderful time!

We stayed at Ashville for our first and our last night in Killarney (spent the week between in Kenmare). What little contact we had with the hosts was very friendly, but when I asked if we could get an earlier breakfast (no breakfast until 8.30) since our flight was leaving very early, all we got offered was some fruit to our room. No coffee or toast. This is very inconvenient for travellers leaving from Kerry Airport on a Sunday, since the flight times have changed and are now very early in the morning. We ended up getting some scones the night before and eating them at our room. Still got charged full price.

The rooms themselves were clean, although some of the features have seen better days. We didn't get much sleep because there was a buzzing noise that was coming from a device (smoke detector?) in a corner of the room on the ceiling all night. The shower was great, very hot (almost dangerously so), and very clean. The bathroom would be too small for anyone who is more than a little overweight, though.

I stayed for 5 nights in this beautiful town. Ashville House is extremely well located, being a 5 minute walk to the town centre. The room I had was a good size, cheerful, quiet, very clean and had a large comfortable bed. The whole B& B is a modern, well presented facility with a generous guest lounge room and dining room. Breakfast was wonderful - with the choice of full Irish or English breakfasts plus cereals, fruit, yogurt etc. Declan is a very obliging host and a very honest man. On the last day in Killarney I left for Dublin by bus in the late afternoon, even though I had paid for that night's accommodation. Declan said that if he could let the room for that night, he would give me a half refund for that day. He subsequently made a payment into my bank account. I would be most happy to stay at Ashville House again.

The guest section of the house is really well thought out. There is a separate living room for guests, and the glassed-in breakfast room was gorgeous. The hosts were very nice and helpful, especially when we were looking for a place to have dinner.
