Ireland without doubt is a very friendly country, Killarney Lodge has been the friendliest stay on our trip. That's on top of being one of the most beautiful homes we have stayed in. Located literally on the doorstep of town and the national park, the lodge has every comfort and old world charm you could want, very comfortable and spacious rooms, very quiet and very affordable.

Great breakfast and free car parking not much else to say but we have enjoyed our three nights here very much. Thanks for a lovely time, "to be sure"

The Killarney Lodge was our best stop in Ireland! Wonderful bedroom with sitting area on the first floor, beatifully sized bathroom, and to top it all off, a great breakfast with delicious coffee!
The Lodge is located in easy walking distance of all Killarney has to offer, including great restaurants and pubs. Catherine is the model innkeeper and well versed in all KIllarney and the Ring of Kerry has to offer. Highly recommend it and would love to go back!

Room Tip: First floor room 6 was great and private with easy access if you have lot of luggage!

We orginally were scheduled to stay for two nights, but we enjoyed the lodge so much that we changed our plans and came back for another three nights at the end of our trip. The lodge is immaculate and the rooms are large, very well furnished and Catherine is the quintensial innkeeper! She goes out of her way to make sure your stay is comfortable and is quick to provide suggestions and tips about the surrounding area. The food was wonderful and the location very perfect for exploring Killarney on foot. Ample parking is available and it's walkable distance from the train station as well. I look forward to a return stay at the Killarney Lodge!

Just got back from 10 day tour of parts of Ireland. We stayed in 5 different B&Bs or guest houses and Killarney Lodge was my favorite. We traveled with son, daughter-in-law and grandsons (age 6). Our two rooms were back-to-back and formed a wing of the upstairs. The arrangement gave us space apart from other guests and privacy between the two rooms.
The lodge is brightly and warmly decorated and the public spaces are comfy and filled with interesting reading material. As another reviewer noted, there is coffee/tea service in the main public room on the ground floor with two electric kettles, stoneware cups/saucers and a little refrig to keep the milk cold. During our stay, there was also a tin with a variety of biscuits ---- a real hit with the grandsons.
The breakfasts were absolutely delicious with plenty of cold buffet and hot, made to order options. Coffee was great and service delightful.
We also relied on the grand advice of Catherine, the proprietor, who had previously been an elementary school teacher and was perceptive about the grandkids' needs and wants.
There are good restaurant options in Killarney as well as fun pubs for listening to music --- many about a 5 minute walk from the lodge.

Wonderful B&B - fantastic location, just a couple of minutes walk away from town centre and very close to National Park. Very quiet, lots of parking, booking handled extremely efficiently. free wifi and a computer provided, plus tea/coffee/biscuits in the front lounge.

But three main reasons why the stay was 5 star - firstly Christine and her husband were extremely welcoming and friendly hosts. Just genuine, lovely people who treat you like guests in their home rather than customers.

Secondly the breakfast was outstanding - lots of choice, lots of resh products, beautiful croissants and scones, juices and jams, plus a great choice of well cooked. fresh, hot dishes.

Thirdly our family bedroom (I sated with two girls aged 10 and 12) was truly sumptuous. My daughters said it was better than any hotel we had ever stayed in. Two double beds and a single bed, all very comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep.

Would thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting Killarney and my eldest daughter loved it so much she wants to go back for a 'sleepover' there on her birthday with friends!

Room Tip: Family room was magnificent - two large doubles and a single bed plus lots of space.

Killarney Lodge was very elegant. It is walking distance to downtown, even for my elderly mother. This way we were able to enjoy traditional Irish music in the pubs at night and have a short walk back to the lodge. The central living room was very welcoming, comfortable, with tea and coffee available to make and fresh milk in a small refrigerator. Rooms were large, bathrooms were grand, heat in the rooms comfortable, plenty of closet space. Very affordable for the elegance of this place.
