Nice hotel and a good location. Bed wasn't too comfy but ok. Stayed the night and booked at the last minute. Fun city-great place to buy those gifts and souvneiers but also some nice wool items. Definitely check out the nearby waterfall, nd the sites. O'Connors pub had local entertaining musicians at night that encourage the crowd to play along! Ireland is beautiful--see as much as you can and enjoy!

This is my sixth trip to Killarney and the International Hotel - I honestly would not stay anywhere else. The International Hotel is my favorite hotel in Ireland and its because the staff are so incredibly friendly. They truly welcome you as a valued guest and treat you with concern not found in many hotels.

The hotel itself is fantastic - a beautiful old building updated to modern standards. Every room is a little different but all are spotlessly clean. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, the town, and the national park. From the moment that you walk through the doors you feel as if you are home. My visit to killarney and the International hotel helps me find the best of the "old Ireland" that is quickly fading away.

There is a great pub (Hannigans) and restaraunt on site, and many beautiful public rooms. The hotel is about a block from the train and public parking lot (non onsite). You can walk to Ross Castle in about 30-40 minutes - a great walk. Dero's tours is just around the corner for the ring of Kerry tour. Again - its just the staff that are so great you just hate to leave the hotel.

If you go to Killarney there are many many hotels, but I truly believe this is the best for the price ranges.

We spent a night in the International Last night and enjoyed Our Stay there. We booked a deluxe room and it was gorgeous. Well worth the extra €20. The only fault we had with the room was trying to find it was a bit of a nightmare. It is in the new part of the Hotel so you have a bit of a maze to find it but it was worth it in the end.
We had breakfast this morning and it was very good. A great selection and my Poached Eggs with bacon were piping hot when I got them which makes a pleasant change.
The staff on Reception were excellent. The women that served breakfast this morning couldn't have done anymore for us.
The hotel has no parking but we put the car in the Public Car Park beside Scotts Hotel. It cost us €1 an hour until 5pm and it was free after that. This is only because we came on a Sat. It would be costly if you were spending a full weekend there.

we stayed at this hotel for the weekend well the rooms are very small a really long corridor leading to them staff at reception most unhelpful said 2nd floor but its very confusing when you get out of the lift as rooms are a long way from lift i helped an old couple to their rooms as they had the same problem as us easy for staff as they know. dissappointed overall as i complained about room and staff only showed me smaller room but their are nicer rooms and bigger ones which i say on ist floor and very modern ones .Now come on wolly blankets in this day and age is a joke our room was dark all day very hot all the time i could go on and on the food was good though nowhere to park your car when paying the girl didnt even say did you enjoy ur stay or even thanks com on reception you have a lot to learn i wont be back until things improve and i have stayed in a lot of hotels worldwide

I stayed in this hotel for an overnight in October 2009. I chose it for it's central location in Killarney and as I had seen it from outside and it looked okay.

Overall my experience here was average though. The price for a single occupancy stay was okay, if a little on the pricey side for what was on offer.
The room was quite small with two fairly narrow single beds, both with uncomfortable mattresses and terrible pillows - making for a not very relaxing sleep.

I can't complain about the noise of traffic, since I knew this hotel was located in one of Killarney's busiest areas before booking. I wasn't expecting it to be similarily noisy inside the Hotel though well into the early hours of the morning.

The front desk staff were friendly as were the staff of the restaurant and pub.

All in all though, I'd rather try another hotel next time I visit, considering price-wise it is competitive with others in the area.

Hotel is perfectly placed, a short walk from the National Park and also for the town.
Our room overlooked the front and was lovely and clean.
Only stayed one night, wished we had booked more. The breakfast was very impressive particularly the porridge on the buffet.

I stayed in Killarney for a few days, the best little town in Ireland!
The people are wonderful , the food plus entertainment abounds and it is all really good.
I stayed at the International Hotel (Best Western) which was simply outstanding. The rooms were superior, quiet, clean , the staff was friendly and very helpful.
The Breakfast excellent and the food in the hotel overall good.
ALso the entertainment in the bar downstairs was lots of fun.
Overall, Killarney is a quaint town with lots of shopping, day tours, and tons of Great food and good Irish Music.
