We stayed in Cahernane House for a wedding in May.. Beautiful room - large and very clean. Bathroom was huge with separate bath and shower and underfloor heating. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice with loads of choice. The hotel and grounds are gorgeous. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend it.

We've enjoyed both our stays in Cahernane, first for our wedding and again for our 1st anniversary! The staff went to great lengths to make our wedding so enjoyble with lots of nice extra touches. The food was excellant and all our guests complemented the venue. Our return visit was very relaxing and we had the pleasure again of staying in one of the grand rooms in the original house. We love all the little unique features both inside and outside the house. Thanks to all the staff.

We stayed for three nights over Easter 2011. The staff were not only competent in their work but also friendly and genuinely interested in being helpful. The premises have a lot of character in themselves and there are walks all around. Also, for us it was a good central location to explore the Kerry area.

Room Tip: Top floor gave view over lake

Stunning location, beautiful building, a romantic getaway.

As a special treat to follow getting engaged earlier that day Cahernane did not disappoint. The staff were superb, they were very helpful with all requests on our special day.

Out of high season this is great value.

Loved this hotel! Excellent service and very child-friendly. This is a hidden jewel in Killarney. Built as a Manor House in 1877, the hotel offers large, comfy guest rooms situated on four acres of rolling green lawn on a tree-lined street next to the beautiful Killarney National Park. Famillies can play tennis, go wading or fishing in the Flesk River (Wellingtons and fishing gear rentals are complimentary), play billiards in the game room, go for a picnic or check out the games and books provided in the drawing room. There is a solarium, a parlor and a sitting room if you would like to find a cozy spot with a fireplace to curl up with a book. Even if the hotel is full, you will feel as though you have the entire place to yourself. The grounds are lovely. The antiques are breathtaking, and the history of the house is fascinating. The food is also wonderful.

My girlfriend and I stayed here March 2011 and we had no idea what to expect. We were both overwhelmed when we drove into the hotel estate. The hotel is old word beautiful set on sprawling well kept estate with a beautiful tree lined drive up to the hotel, rolling greens with grazing sheep and cows located right near Killarney national park. We loved every moment of our stay. The hotel room was gave the feel of a castle with modern comforts. The bedroom was outstanding: the bed was a large comfortable king, the bathroom was spacious with his and her bathrobes. It had a classic raised 4 post tub with a separate walk-in shower. The room also had a beautiful view out onto the estate. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly and really helped to make our stay a wonderful one.

Loved the drive down the tree lined driveway... Loved being met by the porter who was really friendly. Enjoyed the check-in (done while seated in the hall and not standing up as normally done in most hotels) .. Our room was lovely (walk in closet, sitting area, and the bathroom was huge with a sererate shower and big bath) and we enjoyed the cookies (that were there complimentary) with a glass of wine on the patio which overlooked the well tended gardens where sheep and 'Black' cows could be seen nearby in the fields. Our meals in the restaurant were really nice (however, only one criticism, the service was slow, but we were not in any hurry). The following morning my husband and I took a walk around the garden (we were told our table wasn't ready yet) where we had a great laugh watching the cockeral being chased by his 'wives' .. At one stage, the cock ran up to us, chased by the main 'hen' and ran circles around our feet as if we could give him shelter and save him from her... :D I was sad to leave but we are booked again for MY birthday this December ...Can't wait!
