Myself and my boyfriend went for dinner here last night and we have to say that the food and the service was great. All the staff were very present and friendly. As for the food it was second to none and we taught it was reasonable priced :-)

Went here last night with my partner and friends, had the most unbelievable meal ever. First of all the staff were very attentive, offering us drinks while we looked through the menu, then shown through to our table when the food was ready. From the very first mouthful to the last it was delicious. All the dishes were artwork on a plate,so beautifully presented, even the amuse bouche and the sorbet courses. The whole atmosphere was so friendly, calm and we were not rushed in any way.we all chose different at each course and all savoured each and every mouthful, even the bread was presented so beautifully in a 'sack' with warming stones to keep it lovely and warm and delicious.
Would recommend this little gem of a restaurant to everyone. Our whole experience was out of this world and one we'll remember for a very long time. My advise to anyone thinking of booking here is....get on the phone now!! You definitely won't regret it.

Dined at the westend recently and I was very impressed. The food definitely lives up to its reputation of fine dining and the restaurant itself (all separate rooms) has a good ambience. I do think the serving staff should be trained further as I found their attitude to be a bit flippant and laxidaisical, our wine should certainly have been topped up more and we were left waiting for certain dishes which other people in our group had been served. As noted by previous reviewers, service should be addressed before this restaurant can be classed as 'great'.

We were a group of 4 and while no one's food was poor (far from it) there were a few stand out dishes:
The quail starter, the pork belly main and the chocolate dessert (though not as good as the starter and main dishes). All of these were fantastic, particularly the pork. A good cheese board was also served (rare in irish restaurants)

We visited this restaurant to celebrate our engagement, booked a few days ahead as it had good reviews ect. The place itself is decorated very well, modern with a cosiness and is very comfortable. Could not fault the food at all, it is absolutely gorgeous, so flavoursome and well presented, maybe a little bit ott on the presentation for my liking but nice. The menu could have some more options in my opinion as it doesn't really cater for a fussy eater.

We went straight through to the bar where we were greeted and seated with the menus, we were not offered drinks until we ordered which was a few minutes later, meanwhile another couple who were sat at the bar, who were clearly regulars had their drinks. This couple were brought in and seated and we still had no drinks. Our table was ready and we went on through into a small room with 4 other tables with guests at them. We sat and waited for our drinks and food, we were not having starters, just mains and dessert. There was no bread on the table, which is unusual and i thought it might have been because we were not having a starter, but I noticed the couple from earlier not having starters either but with plenty of bread to snack on while they waited. This was quite annoying as it was almost like they were getting particular attention because the staff knew them.
It was not packed the night we were there and the chef talked to a select few, regulars by the looks of it. I just didn't like the feeling in the place, it was a bit snobby and pretentious and for that reason we wouldn't return

We booked The West End House at the last minute and were warmly welcomed by the manager Monika, who was very pleasant and professional. The food here is definitely 'gourmet', great choice on the menu, beautifully cooked, presented and tasty. The dessert is a work of art, almost felt guilty eating it! This place deserves to do well, the service, food and ambience are all terrific.

Thank Monika M
