I found the Muckross House to be a very nice addition to our tour of Ireland. Our guide was nice and very knowledgeable about the house and its history. The gardens were lovely. The gift shop was great. Lots of locally made items such as pottery and woven items. Their prices were very fair and we bought quite a bit there. My only wish is that I would have bought a few more things! I wish they had a website where I could order the items that I should have bought!

This was a neat tour of a beautiful, old house. No photography is allowed inside, but the guides give you plenty of time to look around and see what the house has to offer. The tour gave a lot of detail and history of the area. Definitely worth checking out if you are in Killarney.

We took the tour and it is so enchanting; seeing all the beautiful woodwork, the chandeliers, the decor and the furniture...simply amazing. We were unable to take pictures of the interior so you will just have to go and see how lovely this jewel is.

The house is rather interesting and gardens are large and beautiful. The staff are not so friendly and when ordering food they throw the money on the counter instead of handing it to you. When complaining about the prices their response is we can't change them. It is over €2 for a bottle of water when in your local spar or centra its €1. Rip off prices. Just bring a picnic to eat in the park instead
