“Nice place for an early dinner”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

This is a nice clean little restaurant. We noticed on the menu that they offered a good selection of Irish comfort food and decided to give it a try. It wasn't very crowded because we were eating an early dinner. My husband had the shepherd's pie and I had the lamb shank. The portions are generous and the food was delicious. Even though I prefer a different cut of lamb, I enjoyed the shank. Prices are very reasonable too. It was a great way to continue our relaxing day in town. If you are heading to Killarney, keep Caragh Restaurant in mind.

“good food at reasonable price”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

Enjoyed our meal here on our first night in Killarney and liked it well enough that we all voted to return on our second night. (This is very atypical for us since we prefer exploring new places.) Nothing fancy; just simple wholesome food. Don't miss the lamb shank. We also loved the shepherd's pie and Irish stew.
The only thumbs down was for the burger; not bad but just 'meh'. So we would suggest sticking to the Irish comfort foods and you will not be disappointed.
Also save room for the trifle and sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

“Enjoyed and reasonably priced”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

Ate here a few nights ago on our 9 day tour of Ireland. Meal was good and reasonably priced. Waitress was very friendly. Group had eaten shepherd's pie, lamb shank, fish and pork. Everyone was pleased with their food. Enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

“One of the Best Meals we had in Ireland!”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

We chose this particular restaurant while walking around Killarney after driving the Ring of Kerry. We thought it looked clean and comfortable, had an inviting fixed price menu for 19.50 euros for 3 courses, and it already had many patrons inside. We chose well!! The food was delicious, hot and presented well. I had the fish bread as an appetizer. They had chunks of seafood with a chowder sauce on garlic toast, with melted cheese on top...absolutely one of the best appetizers I've ever had. The grilled salmon, the steak and the veggies were delicious, and the meringue with fresh fruit and cream melted in our mouths!! We met a couple waiting for a table as we were leaving, and told them how much we liked our meal. They said they had been there the night before, and were back for another meal!
