i had dinner at stonechat when i was in killarney in may 2010. i had been driving all day and was starving by the time i got there. i practically ran inside when the restaurant opened at 6 pm and begged for food. i had the 2 course early bird dinner which was 18 euros and it was well worth it. both of the courses are regular sizes, as opposed to some places which will reduce the size of each course. for my first course i had a hummus salad which consisted of hummus, greens, veggies, bread...it was huge. then i had the irish lamb stew as my 2nd course. i had specifically asked my waitress to give me whatever was the most filling (since i was so hungry) and she suggested this. it was indeed enormous and was super delicious....but despite my hunger, i was unable to finish. this place really did a fantastic job and i am so happy that i ate here!
