The Harp

This was our 4th. stay at The Harp in Killarney. We consider Joan a real friend at this point! She is always welcoming and so kind. The Breakfasts are fantastic and delicious. This B&B is also in a great location, a short walk to dine and a very quick ride to the center of town.

Room Tip: All her rooms are clean and inviting.

I can't imagine that there is a better B&B in Killarney. Three of us stayed here for three days in late May. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfasts were delicious. In fact, all of the other guests we met at The Harp were repeat customers.

I think the best part of The Harp is it's owner, Joan. Joan is exceptionally friendly, and she was extremely helpful in booking tours for us as well as providing tips about what to do in town. When we told her we were in search of our ancestors from the area, she tracked them down and arranged a meeting for us to meet our cousins. This turned out be the highlight of our visit to Ireland and without Joan's help, I don't think it would have happened.

Next time we are in Killarney, we automatically know where we are staying.

This is the fourth time I've stayed with Joan who runs this great B&B and is a super gal. She makes you feel right at home the minute you walk in the door. She immediately puts up a pot of coffee or tea and gives you time to relax after your drive. The home is lovely, clean, and comfortable. It is also close to the Town Center and the Killarney National Forest. She is extremely knowledgable and is eager to help you out with further travel plans and places to go and eat within Killarney. I love Killarney and I love Joan and can't wait to go back and stay with her again. After four times, I really do feel like family coming home to visit. Thank you Joan. You and The Harp are simply the best!

I stayed St. Patrick's weekend at The Harp B&B run by Joan. She is warm and friendly and made me feel like I was staying with family... a home from home. I met other guests at breakfast who have repeatedly come back to stay there because she is such a wonderful kind hostess and so obliging. They all spoke highly of her confirming she looks after everyone so welll. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. You will not want for anything if you stay at Joan's B&B. I would not hesitate to stay there again and would look forward to meeting Joan and chatting with her. Congratulations Joan on doing a fabulous job! Mary M.

A group of 10 of us were in Killarney for vacation. 4 of us stayed with Joan and the rest of our party stayed at the Priory Loft around the corner. Joan was such a lovely host. The B&B was beautiful and when the rest of our group wanted to find breakfast, Joan offered to cook for the 8 of us. She welcomed the entire group in if we were family, when only 4 of us were staying there. Joan provided us with great recommendations for lunch and dinner as well as places to see on the tours we went on. She kept it quite tidy and we really enjoyed our stay!!!

Joan was a great host and is the best cook! Comfortable, close to Killarney National Forest, a short walk to town center- lots of shops and restaurants- and near the Ring of Kerry. We really enjoyed ourselves. Great place to stay!

Myself, hubby and our two year old son stayed here in July for two nights as part of our travels. The accomodation is spotless, breakfast excellent (be sure to enjoy the soda bread muffins!) and Joan is fantastic. Tea and coffee always available in the lounge. It was perfect for our requirements and the price was extremely reasonable given the great location. We will make sure we stay again next time we are over, although will book directly with her and not through booking.com.
