“Right up there with the worst experiences I've ever had”
Reviewed June 2, 2013 via mobile

Having been to this restaurant last summer were suitably impressed with it that we said we would come back for our 2nd wedding anniversary which was today......

I rang a month ago, booked the table, rang again on Monday of this week to confirm the booking was told ring back later, did so and no answer, rang the following night same thing again ring back later RANG today told yes booking ok, arrived at that time NO TABLE READY we were eventually seated by the bar or should I say jammed in by the bar, glasses flying n dropping behind me, loud EXTREMELY loud waitress, in the course of our meal our chairs were bumped into on average of 15 times, we were roared over leaned over why oh why did we not get up and just leave!!!! Oh ya I forgot I was jammed in and being six months pregnant trying to get out without a tin opener near on impossible,

Went to pay the bill to the guy who was behind the bar told him I wasn't impressed n would not be back again to which two other old cronies at the bar started repeating what I was saying "not impressed, not impressed" "didn't enjoy that did you" thank god I sent my husband to wait outside

“Good Food for Reasonable Price”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

Sunday evening in Killarney: Most everything is closed. Our plans had to change and we started to wander and happened upon this place. Others walking in said it had good reviews so we gave it a try. It was quite busy and obviously just got over a rush. Nice atmosphere with a bar and fireplace. We had a 3 course meal for around 20-25EU which is actually a great price for downtown Killarney. I had a salmon appetizer and was quite surprised at the amount of salmon on it, which was a lot. I then had the orange duck and it was very good. I do not recall my dessert exactly but remember it was good. Was it 5 star? nope, but we didn't want to spend that much and for the price, you just can't beat it. Believe me, we looked around several nights and their menu was the most reasonable.

“Great Value”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

We ate here one evening and were overwhelmed by th portions that are served. The food quality is very good and you have all kinds of menu choices. It does get very busy, so be prepared, although the service does not seem to suffer.

“Gem of a restaurant”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

My wife and I had the early bird menu after the Killarney races in the surprisingly cosy ,busy Flesk Restaurant. My Lobster . prawn and mussels platter was an affordable 23 euro , whilst my wife had panfried hake and mushy peas. The atmosphere was brilliant, with tourists mixing with locals, especially as the tables are quite close together. Seems to be owner managed, and the staff are particularly friendly. Worth a visit.

“the irish nightmare”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

we visited this restaurant in may on the recommendation of a taxi driver (all other restaurants and pubs suggested were full)
i had the fishcakes for starter and they were literally just mashed potato
my husband had the black angus steak and it was very tough and chewy
no one bothered to ask if everything was ok
the only decent part of the meal was the bottle of wine!
it was expensive and i wouldnt advise others to visit
