Description: Set above Bricín Shop, Bricín Restaurant and Boxty House is a well known name on the lips of many people. Opened in November 1991, its popularity is down to the fine food produced by Owner/Chef Paddy McGuire and by the warmth of welcome and hospitality shown front of house by Owner Johnny McGuire. Between them they have an exceptional product that has been 21 years plus in the making.

We dined at Bricin on a busy Friday night during peak season. I'm so glad we had a reservation as all those without reservations were turned away. We were nearly turned away because the restaurant had us on the list for Saturday night. They rearranged tables and were able to accommodate us. Our meal was delicious. The boxty was very tasty.

You are made to feel like family. Warm and friendly servers. Even the host Johnny was fun and accommodating. We had the boxty. I had lamb and my husband chicken. Both were hearty. The Bricin is over a store and large. You can be noisy and talk to your neighbors. Try it. You will be glad you did.

This was one of the best dinners we had while visiting Ireland. We were treated like family by everyone at the restaurant. All of our meals were delicious and nicely presented. We had reservations which I highly recommend.

Tried three different restaurant in Killarney, and Bricin was by far the best. We were four people and tried a bit of everything, including fish and meat. Very satisfying experience. Remember to book in advance and check their closing days (they close twice per week, mid July, definitely too much).

We found this gem of a restaurant on the Main Street of Killarney town above a typical Irish goods shop. The atmosphere on entering was busy, jolly and friendly. It had the feeling of having stepped back in time to when customers really mattered! The order was taken by a knowledgeable waitress who asked about our day when taking the order. The food and presentation was first class! We had a main course and though the dessert menu was tempting we were just too full! Lovely place and would definitely go back if in the area.
