Dingle Peninsula Walk - Hike Tour From Tralee

My husband and I spent five nights in the Dingle Peninsula, we took our time and had no plans at all. We had no trouble finding a hotel or B & B, ate at local pubs and met many wonderful people. Ireland has so many kind hearted people, first day out in the rental car we had a flat and a Iocal man came over and helped us change the tire, told us where to find a "tire store" and a great B & B, lovely, perfect as they say.
We had spent our first week in Beara Peninsula with friends, second week just us two. Ireland is beautiful in sight, sound and it's people. Safe for singles to travel, was so nice to not see guns strapped on everyone, even the police don't carry! Hope to go back someday.

A lovely peninsular if you have the time to drive round and stop off at the beaches and take in the views (and an icecream!). Not something to be rushed and as there is a lot of driving and roads are slow, allow all day (or longer if you can stop off en route).

We stayed in Dingle for 1 night in a great B&B, we did the insanely expensive dolphin trip 45 Euros for 2 adults and 2 kids seemed a bit like exploitation to me, also with 8 other boats doing the same thing. Not to much else in the town really, apart from tacky tourist & ice cream shops, 2 pubs we visited were not to friendly and didn,t seem to appreciate our custom. Scenery is wonderful but that is Ireland in general.

Driving the Dingle Peninsula was our most favorite drive during our stay in southwest Ireland. There truly are 50 shades of green. Not only is it beautiful countryside, but there are numerous historic sites and ruins to see without all the crowds as in other areas of Ireland. It's a photographer's paradise.
