The restaurant is very small and rather cramped but the server made us feel comfortable and welcomed. The food we delicious, two of us had the lamb which was perfectly cooked and very tender, the best lamg I have ever had. The desserts were unique and very tasty. The atmosphere is cozy and casual which we were in the mood for. A true find!

For me Ard Bia is the top restaurant in Galway. The food is a sumptuous fusion of Irish and Lebanese - some of the best food I've ever tasted. The owner (I understand) regularly travels to the Middle East for new recipe ideas. The setting is fantastic, a rustic stone building right beside the Spanish Arch and clinging on to the harbour wall. Can't wait to I go back!

Very tasty and creative food served in the most eclectic little place. Our only problem when we went was that we were there for lunch about 15 minutes before they started offering lunch. So we ordered a drink while we waited for 12 o'clock. Our server knew we were waiting for the lunch menu, but kept passing by our table for the next hour until we finally asked about lunch, at which point we were told the printer wasn't working.

We had lunch at Ard Bia during our time in Galway. Our innkeeper in Doolin had recomended it, and our hosts in Galway confirmed it was a top spot. Everywhere we went, people said this was a spot not to be missed--I agree. Like Kai, this is some of the most inovative food I have ever eaten. They have an extensive juice menu, but on the rainy day we were there the hot tea was delightful.
They have a lot of seasonal offerings to be enjoyed. The space is cozy, quirky and lovely. When we asked our server how to spend the next two hours we had free, he happily shared some favorite Galway spots.
Ard Bia is not to be missed!! Make sure to call ahead and reserve space for a fantasic meal!

A trip to Galway would not be complete for us without a return visit to Árd Bia. The food and surroundings and atmosphere simply epitomise everything about Galway......great local food, friendly, imaginative and great value for money.
The layout and decor are both great. they lend to an atmosphere of dining in someone's old-fashioned kitchen. There are a couple of little 'nooks' that are ideal for a romantic dinner for two. !!

Dinner menu was, as usual, designed around what is in season.....great meat, fish, vegetables and leaves.
Food is beautifully presented without being 'twee' or pretentious.

The wine list is varied.
