We can wholeheartedly endorse previous comments about the warm welcome given to us by Gerald initially and then Irene. They typified the friendly and helpful attitude we received everywhere we went. The apartment is ideally located and I never got tired of the views down the river and across the bay. Reading whilst sat in those bay windows was a holiday in itself. We crammed a lot into our week but feel we only scratched the surface. I have been wanting to come to Galway for a long time and my only disappointment is that we didn't come sooner. We deliberately coincided the visit with the arts festival and managed to see 2 plays and a music evening in addition to several lively pubs which also had live music. We also enjoyed day trips to Arran, Connemara and the Cliffs of Moher all of which I would strongly recommend. We will be back again to visit as soon as we can.

“Fantastic views, ideal city centre location”
Reviewed December 18, 2016 for a stay in December 2016

A very comfortable apartment, Irene the owner was very friendly. The views over the river out towards the sea are fabulous. Very quiet despite the fact that you are located so centrally for all the shops bars and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

From even before our visit we were met with prompt and clear communication. We met Irene on arrival and the place was amazing. So lovely and clean with such a warm welcome. We felt that we were visiting the house of a friend. So well equipped... even a pen and shopping pad. Those little things that you forget to pack. I shall never forget the views and often found myself just stopped mid task as I gazed out into the mouth of the river as it passes to Galway bay. Amazingly peaceful. It really is central with parking! There is something about that building. An aura of peace and relaxation. We took in so many things. Chowder in Clifden at O'malleys. Walk along the promenade with ice cream at salthill. Live music at taafes on shop street (5.30 performance is great opportunity for children to experience the music and atmosphere) aquarium was a real experience the staff make you feel so welcome. Galway Crystal factory shop is stunning and also great for gifts. Meals out at the kings head bistro and Munroe's. A fantastic holiday from a beautifully looked after base. Thankyou Irene from all three of us.

“We've fallen in love with Galway”
Reviewed July 17, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This was our first experience of Galway and it certainly won't be our last. The city itself is not only amazing in its own right but it's also a great base to see other beautiful parts of Ireland. Staying at the Furbo suite made the experience all the more enjoyable and we're already looking forward to going back. The apartments are very centrally located and offer stunning river and sea views. The main city sights are a mere 5 minute walk away. Our host Irene is lovliest woman, she was so welcoming with great tips on where to visit and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks Irene we look forward to our next trip !!

“Home away from home!”
Reviewed November 13, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Not only is the owner one of the nicest, most thoughtful people we have ever met, but the condominium is in the absolute perfect City Center location, and has amazing views of the River Corrib, and the Spanish Arch. We could very easily walk to all the great pubs, and amazing restaurants in the heart of the foodie scene. It is a tremendously spacious 2 story unit, and was perfect for my wife and I. Even though it is very centrally located, we thought it might be kind of loud. It was not at all. The entrance is off street, and it's like you leave the hustle and bustle of the City Center behind. It is also perfectly located for making day trips to all of Co. Galway and beyond. We will absolutely stay here again, during our next visit to Galway! Highly recommended!

“Spacious and comfortable - and in a top location”

The Granary Suites are in a great position on the Corrib estuary with great sea views, and within 5 minutes walk of the Latin Quarter. The kitchen is really well fitted and provides everything you might need if you choose to cook during your stay - though there is a bewildering array of fabulous bars and restaurants in Galway. The lounge has bags of room and there is a great stash of toys, books and information on the local area. The owners are really helpful and take care to make your visit special. I would totally recommend a trip to this brilliant city and a stay at Granary Suites.

Management Response

Both you and your husband were a delight to have as our guests. Your delight of Galway was infectious. As we all have such limited vacation time, it is truly our joy to know that the Granary Suites have played a small part in making your holiday a little extra special.
