Although we have visited Ireland before, Marless House was our first stay at a B&B rather than a hotel. It was recommended by an Irish cousin and we could not have been more pleased with our stay there. Mary was such a gracious and welcoming hostess and the daily breakfasts prepared by Mary and Tom were the best meals that we had during our 12 days in Ireland. The rooms were very clean and well furnished. Mary's recommendations for Galway activities were invaluable. The website's logo is "sleep soundly, eat well and leave with a smile" and Marless House scored a perfect 10 on all three criteria.

We had an enjoyable 3 night stay in Salthill at the Marless House. Mary is a wonderful host who is friendly and helpful. It's like staying at your favorite grandmother's house!

The B&B is about a 15 minute walk into Salthill Village for the restaurants, etc. and just a few minutes from the water. The location is quiet with sufficient parking either on site or on the street. It's a short drive into Galway if you fancy.

Note: it is only a few minutes from "The Prom" where we saw Trad on the Prom -- the highlight of our week long vacation.

Now, compared to the other B&B's we stayed, this is an older house. The rooms are smaller and you can hear your neighbors more-so than the purpose built B&B's that are around. Breakfast was good, but not quite as good as some others (e.g. canned fruit, etc.) but Mary was very accommodating.

All and all, a great stay -- recommended.

We only stayed for one night but were highly impressed. We were greeted by Marys husband who kindly brought us a pot of coffee, juice and biscuits and led us to the beauiful lounge area. The rooms are absolutely lovely, very comfortable beds with the option of a heated blanket if you are cold. There is a T.V. and tea/coffee/biscuits to avail of. Marless has its own carpark and the bus stop to Galway is literally around the corner. Breakfast was divine and a great choice to be had, Mary is a wonderful host and very helpful. Definately recommend.

We'd like to highly recommend this b&b to anyone travelling in Galway. Mary, our hostess, was extremely helpful and obliging. Our room was comfortable, and the breakfast delicious. The locaton is very good: beautiful views of the bay and an easy walk to the pubs in town.
Thanx a lot, Mary!

Well what can you say about M.H. that has not been said previously. The Irish Tourist Board should use the standard of M.H. as the benchmark by which others are measured. The house is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Mary is a real dream and Tom (her husband) is kept busy! Its lucky we travelled by car; otherwise we would have had to pay excess baggage to the airline after four of Mary's breakfasts. No hesitation whatsoever in recommending this wonderful B & B.

Room Tip: Mary has a treasure chest of maps, leaflets and advice on places to visit.

I stayed for two nights at this B&B together with my boyfriend on a trip around Ireland. Never have we had a warmer welcome. We got tips on where to go, where to eat and what to do. The room was charming and the breakfast choices overwhelming.
If you go to Galway, stay here that is all I can say. The only downside, if one has to be mentioned is that Mary has not opend her B&B directly in Galway, but is located the seaside suburb of Salthill 3 km from Galway city center.

We stayed at Marless House for two nights. Beautiful home, lovely spotless rooms. Best breakfast we had our entire stay in Ireland. Mary is a wonderful hostess who couldn't do enough for you. She had maps and told us the best way to get to our destination. Just a block from the beach. I highly recommend Marless House
