My husband and I stayed a night at Abbey Lee and highly recommend it. We got there after a very cold, rainy, and windy day in Inis Mor, followed by a rocky and scary ferry ride back to Galway. We were tired, cold, and hungry! Marie helped us inside and basically treated us like we were her own children. Both her and Michael were so friendly and helped us find a great restaurant and gave us lots of good advice for shopping in Galway. Our room was cozy and the breakfast was delicious. It's in a great location- near the ocean, close to Galway city centre, and not far from the ferries that go to the Aran Islands.

Stayed here for 2 days while visiting the Galway area. Marie was a great host. Breakfast was delicious homemade breads everyday were fantastic. Loved the pancakes. Our room was clean a cozy, and plenty of room to more around. Marie was great with directions if only I could have remember them after a night on the town, take the bus. Finally this is a true Irish gem and would high recommend.

Stayed here for 2 nights and couldn't have been happier. Mike & Marie are gracious hosts. Marie helped us with directions and told us which places were best to go in the Connemara. I had the best pancakes and homemade bread!

My wife and I stayed at quite a few B&B's on our vacation in Ireland and this one was fantastic! Our host, Mary, is a lovely lady who was always willing to lend a helping hand.

The room we stayed in was spotless, roomy, and cozy. For breakfast in the morning, she offered a few home-cooked options, not just the usual Irish breakfast. We had the French toast, which was delicious!

Honestly, there isn't much else to say other than our stay was wonderful and we highly recommend this B&B if you're staying in or near Galway.

Our first stop in our trip to Ireland. Mary was a wonderful host. The rooms were comfortable and inviting. Mary was helpful to guide us to great restaurants, things to do, and places to see in Galway. The breakfast was great, our first experience with an Irish Breakfast. We had a family of 8 and Mary remembered all our names. Such a wonderful place to stay.

Thoughtful hospitality and comfy B& B. Very welcoming and interested host and hostess greeted us. Marie & Michael were very kind and helpful upon our arrival to go to Salthill for dinner. They served delicious breakfast choices with dining overlooking the garden. Marie is very thoughtful and asks for the days plans to give any travel assistance that would make your stay more enjoyable. Lovely location and very welcoming.

I'm happy to give a big thumbs up to this place
Michael and Marie are welcoming and friendly and very importantly relaxed. We had the fried breakfast and it was tasty and filling and nicely cooked.
The room is fine and big. What's impressive as well is that it appears to be purpose built as a B&B. The bathroom is not just an en suite. It feels like a separate room and with toilet and shower well separated from each other. (sometimes bathrooms can feel as if they're in the bedroom!)
And a big plus - a very powerful shower.
The B and B is a bit of distance out from the city centre - which was our focus for our night in Galway but it's near to Salthill so would be very handy for those heading westwards on excursions. The walk to the city centre is pleasant when dry, but dry days in Galway are at a premium!
Overall a relaxing stay, good night's sleep, good food. Good luck to them!
