My two sisters and I stayed at the Four Seasons bed and breakfast in Galway for two nights in June. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed by our lovely hosts Eddie and Helen. Our room was cozy and comfortable, complete with tea and snacks. Breakfast was simply amazing--the food was endless. I recommend the eggs and smoked salmon--they were so tasty that my sisters and I took to calling them "love eggs" because Helen clearly made them with love! Eddie gave us great recommendations on where to eat, drink a pint, and listen to traditional Irish music. He made sure we were oriented to the town with a great map before we headed out the door. The bed and breakfast was very convenient to the bus station and within easy walking distance of Eyre square and the main drag. Thanks to our hosts for a memorable visit!

This is along a street with about 8 other B&B's. Obviously, it is a good location. It is a short walk into downtown Galway and has off-street parking.

The rooms are a bit small and dated. We stayed in the family room, which had a double bed and two single beds. This was nice for our daughters. The bathroom was tiny. However, nearly all of the B&B's we stayed in had small bathrooms.

What sets this apart are the hosts. Great recommendations for where to eat, pubs to visit for music, when to go where, and general conversation about the town and the country.

I stayed with Eddie & Helen (the owners) in May, of 2008. First, the postives; free and excellent Wifi service available in the rooms, wonderful staff, great breakfast, convenient location-walking distance to downtown Galway. Not positive; no laundry service for guests, shabby showers, and small cramped rooms. I stayed in a single and it was the size of a shoe box. The closet was half as big as most closets, there was a small shelf that held the tea maker, a tiny bed and a nightstand. Nothing else would fit. It is the smallest room I've ever stayed in, at a Bed & Breakfast. It was ensuite, but the bathroom was a bit bigger than an airplane bathroom (that is with a tiny shower). The shower was weak and a handheld. I hope the doubles are larger! It is a good sized Bed & Breakfast, so I was shocked that my room was so small. The owners were wonderful and very helpful. The room was very clean, as was the entire establishment. This establishment is located on College Road, which is just a stone's throw from downtown Galway. You can walk to the city Center, in only five minutes (that is with standing at a cross walk for two minutes).
