Before writing this review, I took the time to review the information on their web site thinking I may have missed something. Yes, Noreen was very accommodating, our GPS took a vacation at the same time we needed her and we arrived late. Noreen was very helpful in directions over the phone. However, the photos on the web were not what we found in our room. The room was small and had a double and twin bed in it - not really enough room for three adult size people. The beds and linen were not high quality, the bed was not comfortable, the shower stall was very small and the bathroom fan was very noisy. Walking distance to the Galway Promenade could be more closely described as a short hike. Other rooms may have been better than ours, but I did not find our room as described on the web page.

Noreen (owner) was lovely, the rooms were clean, fresh and comfortable and the FULL IRISH breakfast was a great way to start each days' adventure. The location was great for us, not wanting to be downtown, yet close enough that a short taxi/bus ride in was do-able. Our first trip to Ireland, to meet our daughter who had been student teaching in Galway. We did not spend much time at the B&B, as we were on the go all day long, but the time we did spend was wonderful.

This was a lifelong trip for our family in visiting Ireland. We had just flown into Shannon on an overnight flight and (with trusty TomTom GPS) we made our way to Seashore Lodge. We were warmly greeted by Noreen Costello, Owner/Mgr (who kept in touch with us via email prior to our trip). The rooms were efficient, comfortable and clean. Plenty of room to hang our clothes and store suitcases...and the bathroom was clean and roomy. From the 2nd story room, we had a great view of Galway Bay. The staff was very accommodating and helpful in finding local eateries. We spent two nights at the Seashore Lodge. They accept most major credit cards and offer free internet access. The have some 'downstair' rooms but the majority are on the second level.

The only downsides we experienced were: the linens were heavy scented with fabric softner; parking was convenient but with other B&B's in the cul-de-sac, we found a lot of double parking/blocking of other vehicles...then again, it was the BIG Horse Races Week in Galway.

We used 3 B&B's on our two week vacation the features mentioned above became a standard for us. We felt safe and welcomed...not just another 'guest'. I would highly recommend them to other travelers, be it individuals, couples OR families!

Room Tip: Call or email in advance...with your travel plans...negotiate your price if using 2 or more rooms.

Our hostess was so accomodating and the location, view and room was wonderful. We would recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a quite getaway with a beautiful view of Galway Bay. Close to downtown but out just far enough to enjoy. We left very early in the mornig to catch our plane and the hostess still got up to make us breakfast before we left. Wonderful Guesthouse.

Noreen was a wonderful host. We were greeted with tea and biscuits. Our room was clean, inviting and spacious. The location was great. We had a car so we were able to access Galway City Centre and Salthill. Noreen provided us with maps, information and advice for touring near and around Galway. She had tickets for our boat trip to the Aran Islands (which saved us from having to stand in line). We felt very welcome in her home. If you looking for a quiet B and B at a reasonable rate, I'd recommended the Seashore Lodge. You will not be disappointed.
