Our room was described as superior, but was an akwardly shaped room, crowded with an extra bed and greatly in need of redecorating. For 125E we expected a very nice roonm as 25-35E more than other superior accomodation in Ireland.
Host Freddy was very informative and provide good info on places to eat and a nearby laundry.
Breakfast was good and served in a very nice sunroom.
View of water was possibly only by standing at the window in the corner of the room.

Room Tip: Not top floor

Dear guest,

Thank you for your review. We owned 2 sea Breeze Lodge back in September. The one you stayed in is now sold. You did not book a superior room. You booked a room with a super king bed - Bay view. Big difference here. Please check your booking. Also you stayed in September during the Oyster festival season and the rates were still high then. Galway city is also a more expensive city than previous accommodations you might have stayed in. I know for a fact though, as I have been doing B&B for more than 18 years that no B&B in Ireland provide King beds fitted with expensive mattresses such as the memory Foam mattresses that we have. That's why you paid an extra 25 Euro for.

Regards,
Freddy

Great location! Our hostess Michelle was above and beyond fantastic! Brand new accommodations, comfortable bed and ensuite...loved the shower! Great walk down the sea wall to a great street! Great scenery...an abundance of food for breakfast for all types of palates! Room for parking and laundry services! Michelle was very informative about the area. We both would recommend a stay here! We enjoyed our 2 day stay here!

Myself and my husband stayed in this B&B for one night and really enjoyed the experience. When we arrived Freddy (owner) kindly upgraded us to a room with a bigger bed, seeing my husband is very tall (6'3), he figured we would be more comfortable - nice touch! The house has recently been renovated and reburbished from top to toe and it shows! The rooms are spacious, very clean and are beautifully decorated. The complimentary cheese and crackers in the bedroom fridge was a welcome treat and breakfast in the morning was served in a lovely spacious dining room with ajoining conservatory. It was very good with plenty of choice. Overall a lovely stylish B&B with great attention to detail. Would definately reccommend. Thanks for everything.
Maria and Steve.

Room Tip: Since all rooms in the house have been newly renovated i would say they are all excellent.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Sea Breeze Lodge this past October while in Ireland on our honeymoon. We could not have asked for a better place to stay while spending the most important time together as a newlywed couple. The accommodations were lovely and the homemade Irish breakfast was the BEST we had while in Ireland. The view from our private balcony was exceptional and the B&B was just a short car/taxi ride into the heart of Galway City. We spent 5 lovely days at the Sea Breeze and we truly felt not like guests, but rather that we were at our "home away from home". Freddie and his staff were eager to please; we were a bit late checking in the first day but that didn't matter- we were whisked away to the lovely breakfast area where we were promptly served tea and like I mentioned before, the best traditional Irish breakfast we could have asked for!! We are already counting down the days until we can return to the Sea Breeze!!

Room Tip: Our room was great!! Plenty of space to accommodate 2 Americans who like to over pack. I would highl...

My friends and I recently spent one night at the Sea Breeze Lodge, and my only complaint is that we weren't able to stay for a week. After spending the past two weeks in Europe, Galway and the Sea Breeze Lodge were our last stop before heading back to the US. I am so glad we saved the best for last! We stayed in the penthouse suite and the master suite with the balcony. Our rooms at the Sea Breeze Lodge contained the nicest and most comfortable furnishings of our entire trip, and the rooms were impeccably clean! Plus, the view of the sunset over Galway Bay from our rooms could not be beat. Freddy was so kind and welcoming and provided us with wonderful dinner recommendations (O'Grady's on the Pier). Michelle's breakfast spread the next morning was absolutely amazing, and her cooking was wonderful! I will definitely be returning to the Sea Breeze Lodge someday and will be recommending it to all of my friends and family. I won't make the mistake of only staying one night text time, though!

Room Tip: Stay in the penthouse suite or the master suite with the balcony.

We recently spent 2 nights at the Sea Breeze and had a wonderful stay. Our host, Freddie, was great. He truly made you feel like an invited guest to his home. He had a wealth of information for anything we were planning to do in Galway. He even gave us a choice between 2 rooms when we first arrived. Breakfasts were fantastic, served in a sun room in the garden, and the bed was possibly the most comfortable that we have ever slept in. If we return to Galway, we will definitely be staying at the Sea Breeze.

My boyfriend and I had a fabulous weekend here!
Freddie is the perfect host and breakfast is the best!! The girls who work with Freddie are delightful and are great cooks too. We didn't stay in one of the newly renovated rooms but ours was perfect - it had a fabulous view.
We loved our stay here and highly recommend it. We will be back
