Myself and a group of girls stayed at the western on a weekend in june for my friends big last night of freedom bash. as others have said below, the location is fantastic, and part of the reason we chose this hotel. some of us who were driving arrived early from donegal on the saturday, so we had to wait a little while for our rooms to be ready, which was fine because the girl at reception took our bags and we wandered around the city for a while.
when we came back at about 2.30 our rooms were ready and we checked in. The rooms were fine and comfortable.
we ate dinner in the restaurant in the evening which we had pre-booked before we arrived, it was delicious. We also had some cocktails in the bar, and I must say that George and Reese (sp?) in the bar were very friendly and fun, giving us tips on nightclubs to go to.
All in all we had a great weekend, galway is a brilliant lively spot for the nightlife and i will be back as soon as possible!
