“Met the requirements”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

A good hotel close to Galway town. The room was clean and tidy but slighty noisey. As we were only there 2 nights it met our requirements. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and the staff were friendly. We didnt eat at the restaurant but the menu looked ok. The bar staff were speedy given the number of guests. It seems to be popular with tour groups. The main downer was the proximity to a busy main road.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that doesn't face the road. Its busy all day and night.

I've stayed at this hotel quite a few times but some of the rooms are beginning to show signs of wear & tear. I stayed on a very warm day & the AC in the room did not work very well. The staff were friendly as always.

This is an average hotel, in a good location.
Staff were friendly. However, the bed had an awful dip in the matress. The air conditioning was too loud to leave on. It was too noisy outside to leave the window open - (its on a main roundabout in galway, tour buses stopping outside the window), and the room that we were in had the ice machine located outside of the door, which was noisy.
One of the sheets on the bed had a hole in it.
Breakfast was good.

Average hotel, not a worthy 4*, and expensive for how basic the rooms were.

Nice hotel, shopping all around and very near Galway city center. Pricey for what it is really, breakfast extra and it shouldn't be although it was the best part. No wireless wifi in the room. I did not get to the pool or spa. By the way, what is this 30 minute massage et al for euro 40. That is an income of euro 3200 a week for a bit of a rub. Are people mad altogether????? All in all average but okey dokey.

We just stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. Overall it was a very nice stay. We booked an executive room which was very spacious. We were on the first floor (room no 124), our view was terrible, looking straight out onto a roof. By the looks of the floor layout of the hotel, I think that all executive rooms have a bad view as they are all on top of each other. The view didn't bother us though. The only fault of the room was from my fiancé as the hair dryer broke (seemed to overheat). Not the end of the world!!!.

The location is good- 15 mins walk to eyres square. We walked it once, it was fine! Other times we just got a taxi. Taxis always seemed to be outside the hotel and cost 7-8 euro into town.

The breakfast was the best thing about our stay, I was lovely. Well done to the chef, both mornings was the same, with all items within the buffet cooked perfectly.

Will definitely return to this hotel on my next trip to galway.

Having stayed there for six nights I certainly got a feel for the hotel and the city itself -- both of which were absolutely charming. The hotel staff provided excellent service and there always someone with a smile and "good morning" to greet you. visited the bar area several times during my visit and there, too, the staff were quite attentive. I was able to walk to downtown Galway where I had such fun exploring the different shops, restaurants and cafes. Not once, did I feel uncomfortable being by myself. The graciousness of the Irish people was so greatly appreciated.

Stayed here for one night in may. Lovely modern hotel, good service, good breakfast, only gripe was a little pricey, but your prob not gonna get much better unless you go lower standard for the money.
