“A decent stay”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

We got a twin room no. 133 and first reaction was it was a great location for the Galway International Rlly as our room overlooked motorpark.ie where scrutiny was held and also the hotel was a short distance from eyre square. However the room was cold and we soon found the cause of it. The window was broken and would not seal shut so there was a major draught. We did not complain as we did not want to be a nuisance to the lovely girls at reception. The air conditioning was extremely loud also. We asked for a twin room and got two doubles bed which was impressive. There is a petrol station and small shop next to hotel which is handy.
The breakfast was lovely however the staff weren't very attentive at that time and forgot to ask us whether we would like tea or coffee until we were nearly finished and about to leave. I doubt that happens often at this hotel however as the staff were very friendly.

Stayed here for one night as we were attending a friends 30th in the city. The location of the hotel is excellent, very easy to find with good parking facilities. We stayed in two twin rooms which were well appointed. We ate in the bar and food was good as was the wine! We missed breakfast the next morning but had bar food again before we left which was again lovely. I would recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for one night. We found the bedroom and hotel very clean. The hotel was very close to Galway city, yet very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety on offer. The staff were ver helpful and polite. We plan on using it again when we visit Galway.

I stayed here with a group of 7 girls incl myself for a Spa treatment Weekend for a joint 40th Birthday. From the moment we arrived we received our "reserved" table with coctails and Canapes, they gave us a large helping of both. The 2 birthday girls were upgraded to a Suite (myself & friend) it was a great room and a very nice gesture from the hotel. We had our dinner booked for 7.30pm that night and I cannot fault the food or the service from the staff, very attentive. The rooms that the rest of the party stayed in were very comfortable as relayed to myself :) The spa treatment we got was great and again the girls in the spa were lovely and very attentive to us all. All in all a great hotel, clean, comfy and staff excellent.
