The Salthill Hotel will not be beaten for friendliness and value - we've stayed in various Galway Hotels over the last 8 years, and in our opinion this is the best for total quality, friendliness and a very relaxed feel.

I stayed at the salthill hotel as was attending a wedding there. I found the hotel and the staff to be exeptional and I would highly recommend it for a wedding or just mopre generally as a lovely place to stay. Staff were extremely nice and helpful and very professional and the actual hotel itself is beautiful and very clean and spacious. Couldn't find any fault with this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Please note 'special requests' box in booking form - unsatisfactory to be told on arrival that hotel has only a few rooms to suit a disabled person and basically that your request has been ignored. My sister's rare holiday away was ruined by being booked into room with bath only facility initially. Room 348 was assigned to us after 90 min wait d was inadequate if slightly better that original room. We had tomsupplymour own 'raised toilet' fitting and the daily challenge of perching on an insecure stool while showering with the grab rail well out of reach. The third room offered to us had inadequate sleeping facilities - one double bed.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but sleepless nights are not nice. Old aged pensioners should not share a floor with families with young children. The children are running around and the old people want to sleep
