Excellent hotel. Good value for money. Lovely bar and restaurant. Good staff, clean rooms. Highly recommended. Just a few minutes drive from galway city centre. Great views from hotel. Great leisure and spa facilities in hotel too.

Just came back from our weekend break in Salthill hotel and overall it was very good. The hotel itself is much nicer than I expected it to be. We were on the fourth floor, so there was no noise to complain about even though the hotel was hostings weddings that weekend. The only complaint was the heat in the bedroom - it just seemed to have no ventilation, and the A/c did not blow cold air so it seemed to just add to the heat. Comfy bed however, just major lack of sleep because of the temp! Besides from that, great shower, no Iron but one is brought up from reception so no issue there, nice leisure facilities, breakfast and front bar/restaurant. Only a stroll to lower salthill, nice restaurants and bars (o 'connors), and tenner into town, so sound for a weekend away I thought!

Reception staff (Donegal girl) lovely - bar staff not so much, very grumpy!

Would def recommend, and def go back to the hotel!

Another great deal in the Salthill hotel - we spent three days there this time - the welcome is always genuine, food is excellent and the Leisure centre one of the best in Ireland. We leave the car and walk the Prom or into town. Galway is always "buzzing" and amazing to see how many people of all ages walking the Prom from early to late. Looking forward to going back again this year.

Room Tip: Look for a front room - ours was at the back and we had to change

we have just returned from a two night stay in this hotel.we have stayed here before but i booked it through a well known supermarket break offer ...such a differnce ...we were put on frist floor great i thought , the room was clean and had everthing but a big differnce from room we had last time ,,smaller and basic tv no movie channels and guess what we were over the function room....oh my god the noise .....weddings on fri and sat night and we felt our bed was in middle of dance floor when bands stopped and we got to go asleep a sheet of iron was banging with the wind out side our room window which looked out on a brick wall no view . i love this hotel and cant understand why they dont give these rooms to the wedding guests who wont use them till wedding over .we did say about the noise and told girl on rec about sheet of iron banging away and guess what ....i was told request a quierter room the next time you book . !!!!!! i am so dispointed but be warned dont take room s on 1st floors on fri or sat night .we had room 105.i will vist again but never will i take a room on that floor .the food is great hotel clean and bar staff lovely .recepition staff could be nicer as they are a vistors first port of call at the hotel.

Room Tip: stay away from rooms on first floor,it is worth paying for a sea view

I stayed at the Salthill hotel for 2 nights. It was superb. I stayed in one of the sea view rooms which was spectacular. The breakfast had a good choice buffet and was hot which in some hotels is not always the case. We ate in the restaurant on our 2nd night. I had the best steak ever. I will definitely return to the Salthill hotel.

Room Tip: I was in a seaview room which is at the top, so no noise.

Great location, clean functional hotel, bar food ok but small menu and no daily specials, service very good floor and bar.Breakfast is very good and the waiting staff are so hellpful.Housekeeping is ok but theres one local lady who has a go away attitude and dont bother me.The lady has poor skills in customer relations.Heating should be on in rooms at 3pm on check in.The owner trying to save€1500l leaving it to later will lose many more euros. The manager should have the casting vote as patrons are euros.Front of house service flat, not informative and look fed up cause their busy.Doulbe beds should be the norm unless requested otherwise.Front of provided my wife and with a twin room even though she was beside me at check in.A little thinking on your feet would change that.Saying is easy but profit and progress are important to us all.
