Myself and my boyfriend were looking to treat ourselves to a luxurious night away and that's exactly what we got at the G Hotel in Galway. From the minute we arrived our every needs were met. Our bags were brought to our room where we met the concierge of the hotel. He introduced himself and said if we needed anything including making a reservation anywhere for dinner to let him know. The room was fabulous! 'His and Her' sinks and a lovely big bath. The shower was so powerful (if desired) and the complimentary toiletries were gorgeous. The bed was so comfortable and the adjustable heating in the room meant we had a very relaxing nights sleep. We also enjoyed cocktails in one of the beautiful of four lounges in the hotel which were lovely. Breakfast the next morning was buffet style and couldn't be faulted! A lovely end to our stay. My only flaw was the location of the hotel. We got dinner in the city centre that night and needed to get a taxi as it is not very centrally located. Other than that there was no issues at all! Cannot wait until we deserve a treat like that again.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at the g. It was fantastic to read that you found the hotel to be luxurious and that all your needs were met. It was also lovely to read how much you enjoyed the bedroom you were allocated. Our bedrooms and bathrooms receive a great deal of praise and we were so pleased you enjoyed them as well as our cocktail and breakfast offering. The hotel is a five minute drive to the city centre and is the perfect base for touring Connemara, Galway City Centre and the Cliffs of Moher.

Thank you for your kind words. We look forward to welcoming you back to us soon.

Kind Regards,

The g Hotel Management Team

When myself and my partner arrived at the hotel we were greeted so warmly by the staff, checking in was quick and simple and within minutes we were in our room.
We were blown away by how spacious the room was. Two cupcakes were placed on a saucer on a plate for us both which was just one of the many small touches that made our stay more enjoyable. The super king size bed was unbelievably comfortable and to have a small living space in the room was also a beautiful addition.
The bathroom was second to none, with twin showers and a free standing bath; this is where they truly won us over. It was so pristine, the two hand basins were accompanied by face clothes, soups, shampoos, shower gels, anything you could possible need and beyond was supplied. The shower pressure was fantastic, it was as though you were standing beneath a waterfall.
The rest of the hotel did not by any means pale in comparison to the room, it was just as grand and luxurious in a very unique way. The colours and the lighting were all so perfect. Each room had it's own character and style. The pictures on all the walls really added to the glamorous feel of the hotel.
Unfortunately I was only staying in the hotel for 2 nights and was unable to fit in a day at the spa. I would have loved to even had a quick treatment just as an extra treat for myself but I honestly didn't feel like I had missed out because I loved the my stay there regardless.
I'm very eager to return and hopefully avail of all their facilities especially if they are to the exceptional standard that the rest of the establishment reaches. I'm sure that anyone who stays there will not be left wanting for anything. The G Hotel really does tick all the boxes and the rest when it comes to luxury and sophisticated style.

My wonderful Hubbie treated me to a night at this hotel for my birthday. The room was stunning. We have 2 children. One 15 month old and one 3 year old so seeing a white carpet in the bedroom did fill me with a slight feeling of dread but thankfully we had no mishaps :-)
We had a beautiful suite with a large bedroom lovely couch and huge tv. The bathroom with stand alone bath and walk in shower for 2 was so stylish and elegant.
We had room service as we thought with 2 kiddies it would be fairer on everyone including ourselves and we ordered chateau briande. This my friends was the nicest bit if fillet steak I've ever had. The meal was sublime. The service was so natural and friendly. The dessert was also gorgeous.
This hotel should have and additional 5 stars.
The breakfast was served very speedily. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole experience was relaxed and wonderful.
Really I have to say I was looking forward to staying at this hotel. However it surpassed even my most high hopes in every way. Thanks g hotel. We will be back.

I have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions with my husband and have loved each of our stays. Situated in Galway city without being 'in' the city, this hotel is perhaps more suited to those looking for a romantic city break or friends who are happy not to be in the hustle and bustle of Eyre Square, although only a 10 minute walk away or short taxi drive to the ample shops, bars, restaurants and cafes.
The three lounges range from extroverted impact to subtle, demure class and each is impeccably finished and will remain so if a high level of upkeep is maintained. Great rooms with great amenities. Small but well equipped gym, great running routes from hotel. The breakfasts at the G are second to none and appropriately highlight the best of local produce and wonderful baking, (don't miss their homemade scones).
The cocktail menu and the bar teams knowledge is excellent. The entire teams attitude, welcome and professionalism represents typical warm Irish hospitality very well and this continues from arrival through to departure.
Book valet parking to simplify arrival. Look forward to next return.

Room Tip: Not all rooms are overlooking the water, request a waterfront room.

Stayed a weekend here recently for my husbands birthday. Really lovely hotel. Decor is amazing - attention to detail is spot on. The service for us made the experience extra special. We were given a complimentary room upgrade as we were staying for a celebration and there was also a card from the manger with chocolates in our room wishing my husband happy birthday. Little touches that make all the difference! The food in the resteraunt was great and we felt represented good value for the quality of food served. The spa is lovely also and defiantly worth a visit. We will be returning in the future.

We had a very nice time here. We stayed mid week and got a junior suite which was a large room. On the seated area at one end of the room it had the TV, a sofa, some comfy chairs, a desk, a fridge and some apace to place bottles or whatever. As you walk in the room it had two closets on one side and on the the other side it had a coffee/tea making facilities, a safe and more closet space. It also had a gas fire underneath the TV and the staff happily switched it on.

At the other end if the room it had a lovely comfy bed but as a person with back problems, it is was too soft for me, the staff couldn't do enough they offered to turn the mattress, the top side has one of those memory foam tops, my husband found it extremely comfy. The mattress was a nice thick one, you know the way in some hotels spending money on a mattresses makes for a very uncomfortable sleep, this was the opposite.

Our room faced Lough Attalia, the scenery was beautiful especially when the sun filled the room.
The bathroom was fabulous, it had a beautiful large oval shaped bath tub, a smaller TV. It also had a double shower with glass doors. The shower leaked very badly and with a slippery floor, it's an accident waiting to happen, I think it needs a seal on the hinge side of the door. We made it safe with towels, I think it should be fixed properly but it didn't affect our stay in any way. A nice vanity table to place bits a pieces.

The staff were extremely helpful and polite, they couldn't do enough for us.
The decor in the foyer etc is definitely a bit out there, a bar, a large beige coloured comfy room, the next one was a cerise pink room, the next a darker room and then the room.
When you walk the corridor to your room it was very dark with dark walls and lighting. You might think you were in a night club with nice art work. When you walk into your room, it's cosy, neutral colours and easy on the eye.

The only problem I had with the hotel was it's lack of leisure centre, it might have a spa but I was looking forward to a swim and relaxing in a jacazzi, this disappointed me the most which was a pity. To use elements of the Spa without having any treatments cost extra, I thought this a bit much even though I recognise how expensive it can be to run
I'd definitely go back again, we really chilled out and that's exactly what we needed.

Dear Guest,
We were delighted to read that you enjoyed your time in one of our Junior Suites as well as the additional benefits these rooms boast. The gas fire place, view of Lough Atalia, bathroom tiled television and designer bathtub are just some of the features that make these rooms so special. Please accept our sincere apologies for the leak in your bathroom. We will follow up on this immediately. Our Thermal Suite does command a charge if it is not included in your package as we deliberately keep numbers to a minimum in this facility for your comfort and privacy. Thank you for your review.
