Popped into this pub for a drink for my aunts 40th birthday, what a night :) The entertainment in this place was amazing. The band ''Shakedown'' had everyone dancing and enjoying themselves. Clean bars, clean glasses, clean toilets and friendly staff. Great security, felt well looked after. Cant wait to return :)

Galway: bustles with fine shops, stores, pubs, attractions and urban variety highlighted by historic shopping in both pedestrian wider and offshoot narrow side lanes. Though both are devoid of vehicular traffic, we clearly felt a bit of cultural and environmental warp speed pacing following a vastly different experience meandering along the r roads of Ireland's west coast and though its varied classic villages.

Here street hawking dealmakers, musicians, clowns and youthful energy abounds at every turn, and pubs along and near Quay Street offer some excellent quality daily specials and combos from street side bills of fare. There are historic churches, larger famous department store malls, the classic Spanish Arch, quayside, intimate parks and regional museums all within range of various E4 all day parking lots.

It's possible to devote as little as a half day's walk with pub stop and a few street and shop diversions to get a modestly satisfying feel in a leisurely walk of old town's varied charms. In our most recent fall visit there in that very time frame, we shopped, gazed and had two wonderful dual pubs' lunches,

Fare consisted of 12 hour slow cooked E9.95 pork belly and second plate of rarely found (and at an incredible single day lunch special price we caught of E 7.95) fresh goose, each plate cum generous veggies and spuds, splitting a delicious butternut risotto, pint and soda, followed by a dscond pub for an espresso tea and a shared sticky toffee for a two stop meager total fare of under E40, a wonderful gourmet bargain in any setting anywhere in western Europe or America.

Quay street is the heart of Galway, great pubs with musice, great food served. During the Galway races its so buzzy you can hardly get into a pub. There is cafes as well.
