Had a great time roaming around. Lower street has food, upper has more bars and late night. To guarantee a wheelchair accessible toilet visit the Galway city museum, across rom the Spanish Arch. Check for hours, but it's free access! And eat at Ard Bia across the street (I didn't get a chance).

We enjoyed walking along Quay street in the evening. The buskers generally were chatting with friends rather than playing music, which gave it a small town feel. We watched some of the rugby match outside the King's Head which was fun.

Wonderful energy and people watching! A great assortment of restaurants, bars, and shops. We enjoyed a meal at an Italian restaurant and some local brews at several pubs.

Quay street in galway is the street to hang out in. From the cosy bars with roaring fires and live music to the variety of eateries you will certainly be spoil for choice.
Taffies would recommend for a little tibble in the afternoon as they have traditional music live and also serve great food.

It's a nice area to walk thru safely day or night, see local shops, stores, pubs and people. A nice place to soak in that typical Irish feeling tourist seek.
