You can't come to Galway without passing by Quay Street. Very medieval, very good-looking, a bit too touristic for my taste...
Spent most on my time her working for restaurants on this street, so I developed some affection.
Late weekend nights during summer big events like the Galway Races are sheer madness, it looks like you're on the underground at rush hour.
If you like it...

This is the street full of pubs, restaurants, shops, and street performers in Galway that is a magnet for visitors during the day and night. If you are visiting Galway, you will find yourself spending the majority of your time here.

We went during the Halloween weekend and there was so much going on! Live street shows and other preformers. Plus there are so many restaurants and shops to choose from! We found souvenirs for our family and had some great drinks at Tig Coili a famous Irish bar with great local musicians!

Summer good weather and some excellent buskers and shows happen ad hoc in the road! I've seen tap dancers to all types of music to a stilt walker!

Quay used to be a run down part of the city. While it is admirable that the area has been rejuvenated giving it a grandiose title such as 'The Latin Quarter' is going too far.Its a pretention that does sit well in a small city famous for its lack of pretention.
